Hana woke up to find Thane's arms still wrapped around her, his chest rising and falling with each breath. She tried to move, but his grip tightened, holding her in place.
"Good morning," he whispered, his voice husky with sleep. Hana's heart raced as she tried to process what was happening. She was in her own bed, but Thane was holding her like he had every right to be there. "Let me go," she demanded, trying to keep her voice steady.
Thane chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Oh, Hana. You're not going anywhere." Hana's fear spiked as Thane's grip tightened. She tried to struggle, but he was too strong.
"What do you want from me?" she asked, trying to keep her voice from shaking.
Thane's smile grew wider. "I want everything," he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear. "And I'll stop at nothing to get it."
Hana's heart raced as Thane's words sent a shiver down her spine. She knew she had to escape, but her body seemed to betray her, melting into his embrace.
Thane finally released Hana from his grasp, his eyes gleaming with a knowing spark. "I'll leave you now," he said, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "But don't think about trying to escape. My guards are outside your door."
Hana watched in relief as Thane stood up and walked towards the door. But her relief was short-lived, as he turned back to her with a sly smile.
"I'll leave you in the care of my maid, Elara," he said, gesturing to a young woman who had been quietly standing in the corner of the room. "She'll make sure you have everything you need."
Hana's eyes widened as Elara stepped forward, her eyes sparkling with kindness. "Don't worry, miss," Elara said, her voice soft and soothing. "I'll take good care of you."
Thane nodded, his eyes gleaming with approval. "Good," he said, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "I'll be back soon."
And with that, he turned and left the room, leaving Hana in the care of the young maid. Elara smiled and came over to Hana's side, her eyes sparkling with kindness.
"Don't worry, miss," Elara said, her voice soft and soothing. "You're safe now. I'll make sure you have everything you need."
Hana watched as Elara bustled around the room, her movements quick and efficient. She seemed kind and genuinely concerned for Hana's well-being, but Hana couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched.
Hana explored the mansion with Elara, her maid, by her side. Elara showed her the grand halls, the lavish bedrooms, and the beautiful gardens. Hana couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the opulence that surrounded her.
As they walked, Hana asked Elara, "Is it possible for me to leave the mansion? I want to go home."
Elara's expression turned sympathetic. "I'm afraid that's not possible, miss. Mr. Thane has given strict instructions that you are to remain here."
Hana's heart sank. She had been afraid of that. "But why?" she asked, trying to keep her frustration in check. "What does he want from me?"
Elara hesitated, looking around nervously. "I don't know, miss. But I do know that Mr. Thane is a very powerful man. It's best to do as he says."
Hana nodded, feeling a sense of resignation wash over her. She knew that she had to find a way out of this situation, but for now, she was trapped.
As they continued their tour of the mansion, Hana couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that she had to be careful, that one wrong move could mean danger. But she also knew that she couldn't give up. She had to keep trying to find a way out, no matter what.
