As Thane's lips moved against hers, Hana felt her resistance melting away. She couldn't deny the attraction between them, and she found herself kissing him back with increasing passion. Just as things were starting to get hotter, Anthony's voice broke through the door. "Thane, we need to talk. Now."
Thane groaned, pulling away from Hana. "What is it, Anthony?" Anthony's voice was firm. "It's about Hana. We can't just keep her here. We need to figure out what to do with her."Thane's expression turned cold. "I'll handle it, Anthony. You don't need to worry about Hana."
But Anthony's voice was insistent. "Thane, listen to me. We can't just keep her prisoner. It's not right." Thane's eyes flashed with anger, but he seemed to be restraining himself. "Fine. I'll come out and talk to you." As Thane left the room, Hana was left feeling confused and vulnerable. What was going on? And what did Thane plan to do with her?
Thane's eyes narrowed as he turned to Anthony. "How did you open the door?" he asked, his voice low and even. Anthony hesitated before pulling out a set of spare keys from his pocket. "I had these made, just in case," he said, his eyes darting to Hana, who was watching the exchange with wide eyes.
Thane's expression turned dark, but he said nothing, simply turning and re-entering the room. He walked over to Hana, his movements fluid and graceful, and pulled her close, his arm wrapping around her waist.
Hana's eyes fluttered closed as Thane's warmth enveloped her, his breath whispering against her ear. "You have the most beautiful features, Hana," he murmured, his voice husky with sleep. "Your eyes, your lips, your skin... everything about you is so captivating."
As Thane's words washed over her, Hana felt her eyelids growing heavy, her breathing slowing. She was safe, she thought, her mind foggy with sleep. Thane's arm was around her, holding her close, and she trusted him to keep her safe.
As she drifted off to sleep, Thane's voice grew softer, his words slurring together. "So beautiful... so captivating... mine." And with that, Thane's arm relaxed, his body sinking into the bed beside Hana. He was asleep, his chest rising and falling with slow, deep breaths.
Hana and Thane slept soundly, wrapped in each other's arms, their bodies entwined in a gentle embrace. The tension between them was palpable, but for now, they simply slept, lost in a world of their own making.
Thane's eyes snapped open, and he sat up with a start, his heart racing and his sheets drenched in sweat. He looked around the room, disoriented, until his gaze landed on Hana, who was sleeping peacefully beside him.
But Thane's mind was still trapped in the nightmare. He had seen Sapphire, his ex-girlfriend, standing in front of him, her eyes black as coal, her skin twisted in a snarl. She was screaming at him, her voice echoing in his mind.
"You failed me, Thane!" she spat. "You couldn't protect me!" Thane tried to reach out to her, but she vanished into thin air. He was left standing alone, surrounded by the eerie silence of the forest. And then, he saw the fire. It was engulfing Sapphire, her screams echoing in his mind as she burned alive.
Thane's heart was racing, his breathing ragged. He knew it was just a dream, but the memory of Sapphire's death was still fresh in his mind. Hana stirred beside him, her eyes fluttering open. "Thane, what happened?" she asked, her voice groggy with sleep. Thane hesitated, unsure of how to answer. But then, he told her everything. He told her about Sapphire, about the fire, about the nightmare.
Hana listened, her eyes wide with concern. And when Thane finished, she asked, "Was it a nightmare?" Thane nodded, his throat tight with emotion. Hana enveloped him in a warm hug, her arms wrapping around him like a cocoon. "It's okay, Thane," she whispered. "I'm here for you." Thane hugged her back, his heart still racing from the nightmare. But with Hana in his arms, he felt a sense of peace wash over him.
They laid down to sleep, still hugging each other tightly. Thane knew he would never forget Sapphire, but with Hana by his side, he felt like he could face anything.
