Thane's expression softened slightly as he looked at Hana. "I know this is a lot to take in," he said. "But I promise you, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe." Hana looked up at him, her eyes searching. "Why?" she asked. "Why are you doing this?" Thane's smile was small. "Because," he said. "You are mine. And I will do everything to protect what is mine."
Hana's eyes narrowed. "I don't understand," she said. "What do you mean I am yours?"Thane's eyes gleamed with intensity. "You are my mate," he said. "My partner. My everything."Hana's face paled. "No," she said. "That can't be true."Thane's nod was curt. "It is true," he said. "And soon, you will realize it too."
As Thane spoke, Hana felt a strange sensation wash over her. It was as if her body was responding to Thane's words, even though her mind was resisting. She felt a flutter in her chest, and her heart began to beat faster.
What is happening to me? she thought, confused and scared. But Thane just smiled, as if he knew exactly what was happening. "You are mine," he repeated. "And soon, you will know it too."And with that, he leaned in, his lips brushing against Hana's.
As Thane's lips brushed against Hana's, she shivered at his touch. He admired her beautiful face and body, his eyes roaming over her features as if memorizing every detail, Hana's heart raced as she felt Thane's warm breath on her skin. She tried to pull away, but Thane's grip was firm, holding her in place.
"Don't struggle, Hana," Thane whispered, his voice husky. "I won't hurt you. I promise." Hana's eyes locked onto Thane's, searching for any sign of deception. But all she saw was a fierce determination and a hint of passion. Thane's lips moved closer, his mouth inches from Hana's. She could feel the tension building between them, the air thick with anticipation.
Suddenly, Thane's phone rang, shattering the moment. He growled in frustration, pulling away from Hana. "What?" Thane barked into the phone, his expression dark. Hana took advantage of the distraction to pull away, her heart still racing from the almost-kiss. She didn't know what to make of Thane's actions, but she knew she needed to keep her distance.
Thane's expression turned grim as he listened to the person on the other end of the call. "What do you want, Tyson?" he growled. "You know exactly what I want, Thane," Tyson sneered. "I know you're keeping a little cat, the hunter's daughter. And I won't hesitate to steal your kitty, if you don't keep her well."
Thane's eyes flashed with anger. "You'll do no such thing, Tyson," he snarled. "Hana is mine, and I'll do whatever it takes to protect her." Tyson laughed. "We'll see about that, Thane. You'd better be taking good care of her, or else." Thane's face twisted in rage. "Or else what?" he spat.
"You know exactly what I mean, Thane," Tyson said, his voice dripping with malice. "Don't think you can hide her from me forever. I'll find her, and I'll take her." Thane's grip on the phone tightened. "You'll never lay a hand on her, Tyson," he snarled. "She's mine, and I'll kill anyone who tries to take her from me." Tyson laughed again. "We'll see about that, Thane. You're not as invincible as you think you are."
Thane's face was a black as a pot with rage. "You're going to regret crossing me, Tyson," he spat. "I'll make sure of it." With that, Thane slammed the phone down, his eyes blazing with fury. "Son of a bitch," he cussed, his fists clenched. "I'll kill him if he lays a hand on Hana." Hana's eyes widened in alarm as she watched Thane's outburst. She had never seen him so angry before, and it scared her. What was going to happen next?
Hana's eyes widened in alarm as she watched Thane's outburst. "What happened?" she asked, her voice tentative. Thane's gaze snapped to hers, his eyes still blazing with fury. "None of your business," he growled, his voice low and menacing. Hana took a step back, her heart racing. "I-I was just trying to help," she stammered.
Thane's expression twisted in disgust. "You think you can help me? You're just a weak little human, Hana. You don't know anything about our world." Hana's face stung from his words. "I-I'm trying to learn," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Thane's laugh was harsh. "You think you can learn? You're just a toy, Hana. A plaything for me to use and discard. Don't pretend you're anything more."
Hana's eyes filled with tears at his cruel words. She knew she had to be strong, but Thane's anger was terrifying. She turned and ran, escaping to the safety of her room. Thane's gaze followed her, his expression unyielding. "You can't hide from me forever, Hana," he snarled to himself. "I'll always find you."
Hana buried her face in her pillow, tears streaming down her cheeks. She had never felt so humiliated and hurt. Thane's words cut deep, and she couldn't shake off the feeling of being used and discarded.
Just as she thought she couldn't cry anymore, she heard a gentle knock on her door. "Hana, may I come in?" Elara's soft voice asked. Hana nodded, still sniffling, and Elara entered with a warm smile. "Hey, what's wrong? I saw you running in here and thought something was wrong."
Hana sat up, wiping her tears with her sleeve. "Thane...he said I'm just a toy to him. A use and discard thing." Elara's expression turned sympathetic. "Oh, Hana, I'm so sorry. That must have hurt."
Hana nodded, feeling a fresh wave of tears. "I don't understand why he said that. I thought he cared about me." Elara sat down beside her and put a comforting arm around her shoulders. "Hana, the boss wasn't always like this. He must have been stimulated or provoked to say such things." Hana looked up at Elara, curious. "What do you mean?"
Elara hesitated before speaking. "Thane has a past, Hana. A painful one. Sometimes, it still haunts him, and he lashes out at those closest to him." Hana's eyes widened in shock. "What happened to him?", Elara's expression turned somber. "That's for Thane to tell you, not me. But know that he's not always this cruel. He's a complex person, Hana, and there's more to him than meets the eye."
