Chapter 1 - Chapter 0- Shattered Eternity

An infinite amount of time is passing every moment it gets quantified. As an average being, you will not experience the time that was set aside by the universe. One man and one man alone was the sole victim of it.

His name was Nell Moren. A man betrayed by the being that he gave his time to. The being graciously showed him the very same eternity he was worshipping. When it shattered, what was left? It was a cry. A cry of a man who believed it was over. "Fuck!" He naively thought his eternity had ended, but a true eternity never ends. That is what was set aside for him, and him alone. A crystal prison held together his identity. No sensations could be felt and there was nothing to stimulate the mind. No sight or touch could be realized, despite his eyes and skin. He clenched his fist yet it did not close. Right before he cried out, a crack could be seen to those with sight. A sound could be heard for the first time. He felt the crystal. He smelt the fear of nearby beings. He could taste his saliva as his mouth turned an odd shape. It was a frown. His eyes opened and he saw a new world from the distorted lens of his blue prison. However, he was not happy to be freed. He craved the time that held him ever so tightly in its grasp. When a being is satiated, thoughts can surpass the bounds prescribed by the universe. Those are the same thoughts Nell had experienced. However, his chances had dissipated. He was no longer satiated. The moment he thought that, another sound was heard in his newly-working ears. *crack* His eternity shattered under his feet. He fell 30 feet downwards onto marble stairs. His body thumped down in front of the horrified onlookers. Yet no pain was felt. The crystal was behind him along with everything he ever needed. From this point on, Nell was a human. A human that felt and a human that thought. He blinked, and blinked again. He then stood up. Every movement felt like a new sensation. He perceived the world around him as if he lived in it. Because he did. Nell now lived in the same world as everybody else. The eternity he was used to and the eternity he was staring at collided in his mind. The sparks of consciousness had never faded out once in his mind. But at this moment, he stopped thinking for the first time. His vision went black. His senses dulled yet again and Nell felt at peace. It was instantly disrupted, though. He heard people speaking around him as if he was an outsider. Nell wasn't always a victim of eternity. He had once lived among humans as one of them. His fist clenched and quivered. He looked around with what little strength he had at the people in medical gear around him. He heard slight whispers from the humans around him. "Is he a Maylem? He doesn't seem to have a normal bone structure." "He came from our crystal. I can't believe the same thing we used as energy was housing a person." He then truly spoke for the first time in, what was quite literally, forever. "Where is L'eau?" The only thing on his mind was the only flaw in eternity, companionship. L'eau was his girlfriend from back when he was along everybody else. All the doctors looked confused. Not a single person seemed to know who it was, and it showed on their face. Despite living for an infinite amount of time in eternity, Nell's perception has not dulled. He knew the answer without being directly told, due to the reactions of the doctors. Questions filled Nell's mind. 'Where is my home? Where is my god? Why am I here?' And most importantly, 'Why am I outside of eternity?' He asked these repeatedly in his mind, despite already knowing the answer.
