The garden was full of life, with beautiful green leaves and colorful flowers. There were lilies, dandelions, tulips, roses, and even a rare blue flower called the Saphir.
From the garden's entrance, a young maid named Crystal, with shiny golden hair, came rushing out. Her feet flew over the path, her thoughts spinning in all directions.
"Oh no, Lady Anabel will be so upset if I'm late!" she thought, running faster.
The flowers seemed to sway with her as her heart raced. She was panting heavily, almost out of breath. But then she stopped. She looked around and realized she had no idea where she was going.
"Oh goodness, I was in such a hurry that I forgot where Lady Anabel is! I'm in trouble now!"
Crystal felt a wave of panic. Her eyes grew wide with worry, and she continued to search through the garden, hoping to find the lady.
As she wandered, she accidentally bumped into someone.
"Oops! I'm so sorry!" she quickly apologized, looking up to see who she had run into.
"Don't worry, Crystal. Are you lost?" said the person, smiling kindly at her.
It was Everlyn, another maid. She didn't seem upset at all, which made Crystal feel a little better.
"Are you looking for Lady Anabel?" Everlyn asked gently.
"Yes, I am," Crystal replied, relieved. "Can you help me?"
"Of course! I know where she is. Follow me, and I'll take you to her."
Crystal smiled with gratitude and followed Everlyn. After a short walk, they arrived at Lady Anabel favorite spot in the garden.
Lady Anabel, who was a princess, sat there with a frown on her face. Her eyes narrowed when she saw Crystal.
"Kneel!" she demanded, her voice sharp. "How dare you waste the time of a princess!"
Crystal's heart sank. She felt her knees shaking as she knelt on the ground.
This is it, she thought, I'm going to be in so much trouble. What will happen to me?
"I'm sorry, Princess," Crystal said softly, trying not to cry. Her worst fears were coming true. She imagined all sorts of terrible things that could happen next.
"Be quiet!" Lady Anabel snapped. Her voice was so loud it made Crystal flinch. The princess was known for her temper,
and no one ever knew when she would be in a good mood or a bad one. If only I hadn't rushed, she thought. Maybe then I wouldn't be in this mess.
Crystal tried to find the courage to speak, but her voice was barely a whisper. Tears began to well up in her eyes.
"Now," Lady Anabel said, suddenly sounding calmer, a strange smile spreading across her face. "What news do you have for me, Crystal?"
Crystal stammered, too scared to form a proper sentence. She could barely get a word out. Please don't be angry, she thought. I need to tell her what she wants to hear.
"Speak!" Lady Anabel yelled again, her patience wearing thin.
Crystal's heart raced even faster. She had never been so frightened. Would she be able to say what she needed to before the princess lost her temper again?
I can't mess this up. I have to get it right, she thought desperately, trying to summon the strength to continue.
