Chapter 5: A New Beginning
After officially recruiting Alex D. Grey as his first crewmate, Sergio D. Arthur felt a sense of accomplishment. They returned to the bustling market of the island to stock up on supplies for their next voyage. As Arthur bartered for goods, a familiar notification sound echoed in his mind.
"Congratulations! First crewmate joined. Reward: 5 Physical Upgrade Pills, Elementary Level Armament Haki (B level), and Elementary Level Observation Haki (B level)."
Arthur smiled, feeling a surge of new power and abilities. His newfound Haki abilities would be invaluable in their journey. Another notification chimed in.
"New pirate crew name: Silverhair Pirates. Reward: Larger pirate ship similar to a grand royal, equipped with advanced firepower and Haki capabilities."
Excitement coursed through Arthur as he and Alex made their way to the docks. There, they found their new ship—a magnificent vessel, larger and more powerful than they had dared to hope for. The ship's silver sails gleamed in the sunlight, and its design was both imposing and elegant, a true representation of their newfound strength.
"This is incredible," Alex said, awe in his voice. "We can take on anyone with this."
Arthur nodded. "We'll need it for what lies ahead. Let's get everything on board and prepare to set sail."
With their supplies loaded and the ship ready, the Silverhair Pirates embarked on their journey. Their next destination: Sai Sai Island.
As they sailed towards Sai Sai Island, Arthur and Alex discussed their strategy. Alex informed Arthur about the G6 Marine base on the island, a heavily fortified stronghold with two colonels and numerous officers.
"Taking on a Marine base won't be easy," Alex warned. "But the rewards will be worth it. Rumor has it they have a stash of Devil Fruits."
Arthur's eyes gleamed with anticipation. "We'll need to be smart about this. We can't just charge in. We'll use the element of surprise and take them down one by one."
Upon reaching Sai Sai Island, they anchored their ship in a hidden cove and made their way towards the G6 base under the cover of night. As they approached, Arthur's Haki senses tingled, alerting him to the presence of numerous Marines.
"Stay sharp," Arthur whispered. "We need to be quick and quiet."
The first phase of their plan went smoothly. They incapacitated the guards silently, making their way into the heart of the base. But as they reached the storage area where the Devil Fruits were kept, alarms blared, and Marines swarmed them from all sides.
Arthur and Alex fought back-to-back, their skills and Haki abilities overwhelming the Marines. Arthur's swordsmanship, combined with his newly acquired Armament and Observation Haki, made him nearly unstoppable. Alex's sharpshooting skills picked off enemies with deadly precision.
As they pushed forward, Arthur felt a familiar rush—a second notification.
"Congratulations! Achievement unlocked: Combat Mastery. Reward: Armament Haki and Observation Haki upgraded to A level (Advanced Haki)."
Arthur's Haki surged to new levels, his attacks becoming even more powerful and precise. With newfound strength, he cut through the remaining Marines, finally facing off against the two colonels. The battle was intense, but Arthur's superior skills and Haki gave him the edge. He defeated the colonels, and with a final sweep, they took down the last of the Marine defenders.
Breathing heavily, Arthur and Alex surveyed the carnage. The base was theirs.
"We did it," Alex said, a triumphant grin on his face.
Arthur nodded. "Let's find those Devil Fruits and take whatever treasure they have."
As they looted the base, Arthur's thoughts raced. This victory would not go unnoticed. The Marines would retaliate, and they needed to be prepared.
