The morning sun peeked in through Roseanne's curtains. Roseanne blinked a few times, slowly adjusting to the light. She stretched her limbs, feeling the stiffness from the unfamiliar bed, and pushed herself up. The room was silent, and for a moment, she simply sat there, taking in her surroundings. It still felt strange—waking up in a room that wasn't her own, a room far more luxurious than anything she'd had back home.
She let out a soft sigh, brushing her fingers through her hair. It was a new day, and she was determined to make the best of it. Roseanne stood up, slipping her feet into the soft slippers by her bed, and made her way to the bathroom door.
After cleaned herself, she slipped into a simple dress and pulled her hair into a loose braid, her fingers moving out of habit.
