Chapter 3 - Th Promise

"A Spectator and actor can't ever become one, so choose wisely the desired role."

"Ko-Chan"

"Ko-Chan"

"Ko-Chan!"

"I'm listening, Itama," I snapped back. God knows how energetic this kid is. I need to remind myself! And why did I save this little hyper?

It's been 3 days since I 'accidentally' saved Itama. On the first day, Itama was kind of depressed, which is understandable since he just managed to survive on the death bed.

"Aiko-kun, how did you save me?" asked Itama with simple curiosity.

"I'm quite knowledgeable in the medical field; my mother taught me," which is not a lie.

"Then... thank you for saving me." A brief moment of hesitation shows on young Senju's face. "I think it's time for me to return to my clan. I'm sure the Senju's and my Nii-san's are worried about me."

A little white butterfly appears, and it lands on the left shoulder of Aiko. "Itama, you're already dead" is a simple but straight-forward statement. "But I save you; the burial of Itama Senju's is being held right now. Itama, aren't you tired?"

"But my brothers-"

"They will be fine" is a firm statement, but it means a lot. "The end of their performance is not yet to come."

With a push, I managed to convince Itama to rebel.

Wait, that sounds wrong.

"Ko-Chan, where are we going?"

"Nevermind, I changed my mind. You can now go back to your clan, Shoo Shoo!" I can't stand this kid's energy! At all!

"Oww, is my Ko-Chan throwing me away?"

"Just follow me."

"Aiko, I trust you," Itama bluntly said.

"I know," I answered without looking back at him as we continued our travel.

*****

"Ko-Chan, where are you going?" Itama asks as he looks at me.

"I need to do something important."

"Okay"

I didn't think saying good-bye would be so hard, as I'm ready to go on my journey.

"..."

"..."

"Will you come back? Here?" Itama asked with downcast eyes and a face filled with sadness. It makes me wonder if it's possible to be sad about someone you've only known for a short time.

"Don't be sad; I will come back maybe in a year or two," I said, trying to appease the downhearted kid.

"I'll be here, waiting for your return, okay? Please be careful; I know you're stronger, but please be careful."

"Itama-nii, good-bye," saying farewell not only to Itama but also to the house that gave us shelter for almost a year.

A startled look from Itama as if processing what he just heard, as he tries to open his lips to answer, I vanish.

At the front of Aiko, a sleeping gigantic fox with nine tails made up of massive chakras could be seen.

"Kyuubi," Aiko boldly called out.

Like a monster waking up from its slumber, the Kyuubi opens its vertically slit pupils. An oppressive pressure descends: "A puny human, dare's to disturb me!"

A normal human would be terrified, but Aiko is an abnormal one; he dares to court death, and of course he already made a plan to deal with it.

A relaxing and calm aura surged out of the small body of Aiko that could rival the terrifying pressure of Kyuubi.

Truly an abnormal one.

"What do you want!?" A thundering voice befitting the most powerful bijuu

"I want..."

*****

Throughout my whole journey, I managed to seek out all nine bijuu and converse with them.

Each of them has their own unique characteristics; it's fascinating to see and talk with them.

An oath for everlasting

A vow for the future

A pact was made between me and nine bijuu

A contract to be keep until the right time

I Promise.
