Chapter 2 - Chung Seo-Hyeon

I entered the large classroom of History and sat down on the only remaining empty seat. I looked around my surroundings and noticed two things; I was the last one in class and Chung Seo-Hyeon was sitting right next to me.

I sighed. I reluctantly took off my head phones and ruffled my hair. The front bits had reached my eyebrows.

I should get a hair cut soon.

I took a notebook and pen out and put them on my desk as the teacher entered the class. Everyone got up and greeted the teacher with a bow. She put her handbag on the table and instructed everyone to take notes of her words.

She cleared her throat and began, "In the year 1059, the first ever human being with magical powers emerged. His name was Alec Ambrose and he was 19 when his powers had manifested fully. He was a level 5 mage-type Magical being with wind powers: the hardest type of power to manifest from the recorded types of magic."

Chung Seo-Hyeon raised her hand up, "What types of magic are there, Miss?" she asked.

Everyone stared at Chung Seo-Hyeon with confusion. A level 3 Magical being didn't know what the magic types were? That didn't make any sense at all.

I turned to look at her clearly for the first time and I had to admit, she was indeed beautiful. She was extremely beautiful. She had long white hair, even longer than Ra-Sang's, and she had vibrant green eyes that didn't match the blank looks on her face. She had delicate features that made her truly look like a goddess.

The teacher answered her calmly, "There are 5 types of magic: Fire, Ice, Wind, Shadow and Light. These magic types were discovered as time went by, and what made wind the hardest to manifest is because multiple level 3 and 4 Magical beings have all tried to manifest Wind magic but have failed"

"So you can manifest more than one magic type?" Chung Seo-Hyeon asked.

The teacher nodded. "Now, are all your questions answered, Chung Seo-Hyeon?"

"Yes, thank you, Miss" Chung Seo-Hyeon opened her notebook and started taking notes of what the teacher had said.

The teacher continued, "Alec Ambrose had used his powerful wind magic type to wipe out all of the monsters that had appeared in this world. After banishing the monsters to the Elirac, a different dimension that can only be accessed by Magical beings with a level 5 magic power. Only 4 Humans with level 5 magic powers have been recorded. Your homework is to do research on the remaining 3 level 5 magical beings. Class is dismissed."

We all got up And bowed to the teacher until she left. Once she was gone, we all got our back bags and got ready to leave.

I put on my headphones and started playing the same song I was listening to earlier again.

As we all started shuffling out of the classroom, someone held my arm. I turned around to see Yoon Ji-Woo and her friends behind her.

"Sand Kija-sii, where were you about to go?" she asked, batting her eyelashes at me. I sighed and slowly released my arm from her grasp.

"I'm going to see Sa-Rang." I said flatly. She put her hands on her hips and pouted. I cringed.

Who does that?

"Oh, come on, don't be so cold Sang-ah!" she exclaimed. Her friends behind her giggled while watching our interaction. I was getting tired of this interaction so much quicker than usual.

"Yoon Ji-Woo, if you'll excuse me, I'll get going now-" she suddenly flung herself onto my arm and started wailing. My classmates already knew that I didn't do anything wrong; this was a weekly occurrence. I let out a frustrated sigh and told her to get off of me.

"Sang-ah! Why are you so co-" she was interrupted by Chung Seo-Hyeon as she grabbed her hand and yanked her off of me.

"He was clearly uncomfortable, Yoon Ji-Woo" She said coldly. "Someone might misunderstand your relationship if you continue to conduct yourself in such a manner. I suggest you act like a government officials daughter, not a lovesick girl obsessing over a guy."

I stared at Chung Seo-Hyeon with surprised eyed. She then turned to me and asked if she could meet with me briefly. I glanced at Yoon Ji-Woo and saw her glaring at Chung Seo-Hyeon, her face red. I suppressed a smile and agreed to her request. I guess I could talk to her on the way to meet Sa-Rang.
