The situation unfolding before me was even worse than what I considered could possibly be the worst-case scenario.
The Head Minister had access to a magic item that was magnifying his power. Sylis, of all people, was right beside me and if I were to fail in eliminating this man, his next target wouldn't just be Fervis and Fervene; it would be the entire Royal Capital!
No matter what, I had to finish him here before he could accomplish his goal.
"Sylis! Get behind me!"
The only option was to fight him head on, but I didn't want Sylis being caught in the crossfire of the battle. The golden-haired girl nodded in agreement at my request, but before she could move behind me, another wave of sinister violet energy came rushing towards Sylis.
