What I Lost (A Fervis Story)

Rain poured heavily on the night I returned to my villa. The day had been hectic, a goblin outbreak in the woods near the ninth district, and an Ogre attack near the same area. While I wanted to spend more time with Mimi, I realized that would pose to be an impossible task.
I was just way too busy.
I wanted to ask the Guild Master or the King for a break, but I didn't have the willpower to. I had already taken a week off to care for Fervene when she finally returned and if I took more time off just to spend time with Mimi, that would be too selfish… right?
The questions plagued my mind as I soared over the wet and murky sky. The sun had already fallen and this cold and stormy night.
I wondered how Mimi was doing right now, but she was definitely fine. She was the strongest adventurer in the entire Royal Capital, which was a massive step up from what I was.
