Winter and Tobias left the office and went to the apartment. They called Papillon over and the three of them bent down to check the names of the employees that Tobias has sent to the remaining two phones.
They checked for three hours straight but found nothing.
"But Papillon you said I will find him working in mom's office" Winter said her voice clearly sounds frustrated.
"Based on the personality trait you have me" Papillon replied also confused
"Are you sure you went to every single departments? even the cleaning?" She asked Tobias.
"Yes! Every single one. The only place I didn't go to is the floor the dean is" Tobias replied. All his efforts are in waste so he is more frustrated.
"My mom's floor is very private, only she, her assistant Jimmy and maybe two other people and they are in their nineties" Winter said and rubbed her forehead. She can't help but feel she is missing something.
"Then am stuck" Papillon shrugged "I guess you will have to go to his house everyday to check on him or get his schedule from the person you got his name from"
Winter face stiffened, she remembered Prince and the odd feeling around him, her instinct had told her to get away from him and now she is to go back to him? No! She would rather stake Clinton house until she sees him than go back to Prince, besides she don't know how to get to him.
"I don't know that guy much just a favor from him" she said to Papillon's words.
She can't ask the latter to investigate Prince, that person is full of malevolence aura and she isn't sure how he will take to it if someone is investigating him. He might kill Papillon in a fit of rage.
"I will just check Clinton house" Winter said "and I will give you your money later, don't want to do transfer"
The powers school currency is the same as the outside world just the monetary system is different.
"So that means you don't need my services again?" Papillon asked.
"No, later" Winter shook her head. This girl is someone she greatly enjoyed her company.
"Okay, bye" Papillon stood up and was about to go out when someone entered.
"Is it okay for me to come in?"
A weak looking boy entered, he smiled gently at Winter.
Winter blinked confused and pursed her lips, she and him didn't have much intersection, they didn't talk much or play much. Infact he is practically invisible in the group. Winter had always tried to get close to him to at least find out what he is thinking behind those innocent yet complicated eyes but as if knowing her intentions he always kept her at arms length. Now he is taking the initiative to come to her.
"No problem Jude" Winter said and stood up.
"Tobias get juice for Jude and Papillon" Winter ordered.
Tobias stood up also feeling uneasy around the newcomer. He didn't show it in his face for fear of his life, this kid is one of the board kids.
Winter faced Papillon and blinked calmly. Papillon nodded and sat back. Winter didn't want her to leave.
"So what brings you here Jude?" Winter asked her tone neither warm nor cold. She didn't want him to feel at ease.
Jude just smiled weakly" I haven't talked to you in a while and missed you"
That is a lie!
Winter eyes turned cold" what do you want?"
Jude crossed his leg elegantly and his warm smile disappeared replacing with his calculating look.
"I couldn't help but notice you are getting more interesting lately" Jude said.
Tobias came out with the juice and handed one to Papillon the other to Jude.
Jude took the juice and shook his glass, he smiled and dropped it on the table.
"I don't like the flavor" he said with a meaningful glance towards Tobias.
Winter eyes flickered and immediately brought his eyes back to her.
"What do you mean?" She asked "have you been spying on me?"
She has been feeling the eyes on her intensify lately.
"Yes" Jude replied nonchalantly.
"I don't appreciate that Jude" Winter said " don't try to use your powers on me"
Jude smiled and calmly retracted by the vibrations he had sent out earlier.
"I want us to have a cooperative relationship" he said.
Winter shook her head" I can't trust you"
"I know and I don't expect you to" said Jude.
"You are looking for someone because you desperately need something but can't seem to find the person" He said calmly and picked up the juice, he took a big gulp his eyes locking on Winter's.
A glint flashed through Winter eyes as she watched the juice rolled down his throat.
"Even Joseph would have known that fact by now" Winter said.
"But does he know you went somewhere forbidden last night?"
Winter heart shook and almost jumped out but she still looked calm on the surface.
"Don't try to threaten me" she warned.
"On the contrary am not, I even helped you get rid of the other person following you" Jude knew Winter understood that there is always someone watching her secretly.
"The consequences would have been dire if I hadn't intervened and several times more like that"
He is trying to show his position, she understood.
"Clinton doesn't work at the dean's office building, he is somewhere else"
"So what do you want?" Winter relented. This deal will profit her because of his superpowers, superspeed and mutated vibrations, there is a third one she or anyone didn't know. He claims its still in buffing state.
"Something from Josephina, I can't tell you now since I haven't feel your own sincerity" said Jude honestly.
Winter nodded in agreement. He can't get anything too important from Josephina or she would hunt him and his family down, so the thing is only important to him alone. Josephina might have even forgotten about the thing but he didn't know how to ask of it so he came through her.
But if she find out it's something important to her mother! Then she will immediately terminate this deal! She will make another so he wouldn't lose, she always keep her word.
"But you must not over stepped your boundaries with my mom or I can't protect you"
"I promise she won't even feel it" Jude walked over to Papillon.
Papillon looked over to Winter and she nodded. Papillon placed her hands on Jude's stomach and a trail of yellow liquid came out. She fisted her palm and the liquid took a ball shape. She flung it into the waste bin.
That is the extra 'flavor' Jude didn't like.
