"okay" Winter turned to walk away but was stopped by a particularly annoying voice.
"Why must she get the best resource when she doesn't even need it?"
Nynette walked over with a frown and glance at Devon with an infatuated look. She was sure she would get him to tutor her and was already bragging about it until she heard the announcement. The look of the girls adoring her before was vicious, they maliciously laughed secretly while she was there! This is totally unacceptable, how could this waste steal her man.
Devon frowned slightly, he didn't remember when he asked her out.
Nyron beside her looked helpless and a bit disgusted.
"I agree but we can't question the dean's decision" Nyron tugged a bit at his sister's sleeve.
Nynette stiffened, the fear of Josephina lingering strongly in her mind but looked reluctant to part with Devon.
"Am just telling the truth no need to make a fuss" She sneered.
Nyron".." when did I make a fuss?!
"Okay I won't make a fuss anymore, let's just go" He still patiently coaxed her.
Nynette snorted and turned to walk away but another face popped up.
"I heard the announcement and I agree it's a good one" Kira said quietly and peacefully. Her eyes is clear of any disturbance but her words were a bit unclear.
Considering Winter's condition it is sort of a mockery.
"Thanks " Winter said coolly.
Nynette frowned and said disdainfully "we all know it's a waste of resource don't try to whitewash it!"
Kira eyes turned cold and she faced Nynette.
"Don't talk rubbish!"
Nynette face turned red as she glared at Kira not willing to lose out. She lashed back angrily.
"Which of my words are rubbish?! You know! We all know!"
"Don't say anything!" Kira warned.
"What should I not say?! It's not like everyone won't know in the end" Nynette screamed attracting people nearby.
The seniors expression was still normal and calm, while the freshmen were full of gossips eagerly waiting for an interesting show.
"If you say one more word, I will report to the dean" Kira warned with soft eyes, even her tone had softened considerably.
Nynette shivered unconsciously, she didn't want Josephina to come but she can't possibly back down. The embarrassment she suffered from both of the two last week still lingered in her mind. She will still talk.
"I don't care, it isn't like they wouldn't know later, I can say it now and no one will get hurt"
Kira eyes hardened and she raised her arm covered in black and red liquid, she raised it and wiggled her fingers, the liquid turned into a spike and separated from her hand floating beside her.
Nynette face twisted angrily.
'two can play at this game'
She raised her arm covered in green shimmery lights and little spikes appeared around her ready to attack!
"Am doing this for your own good!" Kira yelled retracting her magic.
For the crowd this show just got more interesting. There is even a fight session in it!
Nyron almost facepalm himself at his sister foolishness. Didn't she see through Kira's intentions.
"Both of you stop this bullshit!" He said sternly and dragged his sister away.
"Let go of me!" Nynette struggled in her brother's hand.
Nyron's face grew dark as black limes slid down on it.
'why do I have such a stupid sister?'
"I must teach this bitch a lesson" Nynette sent spikes flying towards Kira.
Nyron quickly reacted and sent a powerful gust of wind at the spikes sending them flying into the crowd. A few screams of pain echoed but he didn't care.
His sister stupidity is simply infuriating! A few manipulative words and she is hooked.
"Don't behave so stupidly!" He berated Nynette his tone a little harsh.
"Are you calling me stupid now? You didn't defend me earlier but helped her!" Nynette screamed furiously.
"No I didn't" Nyron grew even more helpless.
"Yes you clearly did! Did she seduced you too?" Nynette was now disgusted with her brother. Who didn't know Kira is after Joseph.
"My taste hasn't gotten that low" Nyron replied with a strong sense of disgust.
Kira".."
She is the second in ranks of beauty in the whole school, with a great figure and manners.
"Then why did you help her?" Nynette once again yelled angrily.
"You guys were acting stupidly! The person you guys are fighting over is gone!" Nyron pointed towards the spot Winter had stood before.
Nynette, Kira and the crowd looked over and indeed she isn't there with Devon.
"They have been gone for a while now" His chest heaved heavily because of his laboured breathing. He is really trying his best not to get angry.
Nynette and Kira turned red faced, they felt too embarrassed to keep on staying there.
"My best friend is ignoring me now because of you, I hope you are happy" Kira eyes had turned red whether due to sadness or embarrassment no one knew. She walked away from the crowd fast as if leaving to clean her tears.
Nyron sneered, he knew she ran away to escape the embarrassment and left he and his sister to clear the crowd.
"You..you.." Nynette stuttered running out of rebuttal just turning red angrily.
"Come on let's go" Nyron dragged her away also walking fast. The embarrassment also got to him.
Nynette clenched her fist and made up her mind. She has to get back her man from that mistress Winter.
Nyron heaved angrily once again and directly flew away with her.
'when will she ever learn?'
In a cafe somewhere far away from the gossip ground, Winter calmly stirred her coffee. She took a bite of the cake and the sweet taste melted in her mouth filling it up sweetly.
She took a napkin and cleaned her mouth elegantly.
"I hate sweet things" she said and drank the coffee her face stiffened a bit.
'too sweet' she grimaced.
Devon took the cake and the coffee" these are my order" he said coolly, lieing without batting a lash. He couldn't even eat because of the mask.
Winter looked calm but her eyebrow twitched.
'so he likes things that are very sweet' she thought.
Devon lips under the mask lifted up in a faint smile.
'how childish' she added.
Devon's fingers stiffened and dropped the spoon stirring the coffee.
"Waiter"

Back at the class ground, a question is going round with no answer.
"Why doesn't Winter need a tutor?"
The seniors kept mute not wanting to get involved. The freshmen kept looking for information anyway, anyhow.
