[Hosling Guild]
"Lyn, have you contacted the members who are joining the exploration?" Ann, who was researching as usual, stopped as she asked Lyn.
"I have. You wanted a small team, so I have selected three." Lyn said as she took out a small notebook.
"With you, guildmaster Ben, the three I selected, and the city lord's son, it should be a small team of six members." She said as she looked away from her note and looked towards Ann.
"May I ask why the city lord's son?" Lyn asked as she tilted her head.
"Ugh. I would like to ask the same too. The city lord suddenly initiated a deal to include his son in the mission in exchange for funding." Ann said as she stopped her research.
"How is Lily's preparation going?" She asked as Lyn stared at her for a moment and breathed out a helpless sigh.
Sigh
"That nerdy daughter of mine is already looking at her study materials and effectively practicing them." Lyn said, as she suddenly started being more human like.
Lyn was like an ordinary human when it came to her family and like an efficient robot when it came to her work.
"That's a future top ranking mage for you." Ann said as she smiled and continued her research.
"Anyway, since there is still one week left, I have to prepare the items for the exploration. What items do you need?" Lyn came back to her work topic as Ann pointed at a desk beside her.
"The list of items I need is there." Ann said as Lyn walked towards the desk and picked up the list.
"Hmm. These are a lot of items. Will the funding be able to cover these and other items asked by other members?" Lyn asked as she looked at her notes to ensure the funding would cover it.
"It should be of the right amount." Ann said as Lyn nodded her head after looking at her notes.
"I see. This is quite a lot more funding you got than I thought." Lyn said as some suspicion arose within her.
"May I ask? What's the exact reason you went there for?" Lyn asked as Ann again stopped her research.
*Sigh
"You people around me are too clever." Ann said as she gave a helpless sigh. It was the same with Chlory.
"Hmm." Lyn tilted her head as she wondered what she meant by that.
"I also made another deal with the city lord." Ann said as Lyn frowned.
"Another deal? Did he also negotiate another deal?" Lyn asked as Enel's figure as a cunning leader started forming in her mind.
"No. It was me who initiated the deal." Ann said as she avoided Lyn's gaze.
"Hmm. And the deal was?" Lyn asked, as she got a strange feeling about the upcoming answer.
…
Swoosh
"Hmm. I'm starting to get a hang of this." Aiden muttered as he moved his body.
Bam
"Agh."
'I guess talking made you lose your focus for a slight moment.' Eden commented as Aiden fell to the ground.
"Agh. My hand is starting to hurt." Aiden muttered as he let go of the hilt of the sword.
He was in the garden of the mansion, trying to practice his sword skills.
"I've been doing the same move for three hours now. I need something more to refine the mastery." Aiden muttered as he crossed his legs and started to think.
Ding
[Title: Sword Master

Description: A person who knows their way around any sword. Your learning experience with swords and sword arts has increased. Get familiar with as many types of swords and sword art as you can to increase your mastery.]
"Hmm. Get familiar with as many types of swords and sword art as you can…" Aiden muttered the lines of the description as he stood up.
"Ok. I think I know how to do it. Let's look for Louis." Aiden thought as he turned around and started to walk.
'Hmm. You are getting more addicted to it than I thought.' Eden said as he tilted his head.
'Well. This is the only source of strength for now. I'm sticking to it and making it strong until there is another source of strength to rely on.' Aiden said.
'Sigh. Louis has just lectured me until now. When is he going to teach more about magic?' Aiden thought as he helplessly stared at his hand.
The sensation of the air surrounding his hands was still lingering.
'The window said I am more favored by magic and mana, so that means it can be my other source of strength.' Aiden thought as Eden nodded his head.
'He is fitting in this world. Thank god.' Eden thought as he felt happy at how far Aiden had come from throwing his life to fight to death with a beast to working for a safe future.
"Ah."
As Aiden was about to enter the mansion, he suddenly stopped as he remembered something.
"Wait. Louis is not in the mansion. He said he was going to the city office." Aiden muttered as he looked towards the huge gate at the front of the mansion.
"Waiting doesn't sound good; should I go to the city office? I also want to see the city." Aiden muttered as he was curious about how the society of this world worked.
'But you don't know the direction,' Eden said as he pointed out the problem.
"Does the window know direction?" Aiden asked, wondering if the window could help him.
Ding
[I only know the direction to the hospital.]
The window said as Aiden sighed.
"I guess there is only one option." Aiden muttered as he walked inside the mansion.
…
Inside the mansion, it was usually quiet from outside.
For most people, it was a place where two people lived, with visitors frequently visiting, but from inside, it was more than that.
Inside a room of the mansion,
"Ahhh. I can't believe the young master has really lost his memories. I hope he recovers early so he can visit us and spend time with us like the old times."
A female's voice resounded.
"Just him recovering early is enough. We lowly servants should not wish great things like him visiting us, Herlin." Another voice said, but this time it was a male's voice.
The room was big.
A lot of people were working around or sitting around as they chatted with each other to no end. It was like this was the only time they were allowed to freely talk with each other.
Some people were sitting on tables, eating foods, as they chatted with each other.
"Hmm. You are not wrong on that, Ren." Herlin, a woman with brown hair wearing a maid's outfit, said as she took a bite of her food.
"But don't you also secretly wish the same?" Herlin said as she smirked towards Ren, who was also eating his food.
"Ahem. I'm at least not complaining. Just saying." Ren said as he took a bite of the sandwich. He had freckles on his face and brown hair, the same as that of Herlin.
"But setting that aside, the young master is as hardworking as always." Another servant said this as she put her food on the table and sat down to eat.
"Really? I think he has become more hard working than before. He has been practicing the sword nonstop." A man wearing a vest and hat also sat down as he took a bite of his food.
"Oh Harry. Done watering the plants?" Herlin said as Harry nodded his head.
"Yes. Just now, when I was done with the watering, the young master was still practicing the sword. He was at the garden even before I started watering the plants." Harry said as the others gasped.
"But isn't it hard for him? Considering he was recently injured and unconscious for three days straight," a woman said as the vibe at the table suddenly became gloomy.
"Poor young master. The Lord should have at least been more careful to not hurt his child." Herlin said as others nodded their heads.
Seeing the young master being hurt like that after hearing the news of him getting attacked in the forest was very grieving to them.
"Oh Rin. You are in charge of taking care of his bath early in the morning. How is he? Was he hurt badly?" Herlin asked a quiet woman sitting beside her as the others turned their eyes towards her.
"The young master seemed healthy as always. It's really hard to believe a person who is much younger than me has to go through such pain and still continue his daily life." Rin said as she lowered her head.
"Oh right. I heard that the guildmaster Chlory had a word with the lord about this." A servant spoke as people shifted their attention to her.
"A word? I heard they were at each other's throats." Another guy said this as the people around him smiled.
"I can't believe that. The Lord is too calm and cold for such bickering."
"Exactly. The Lord is too cold. Even towards his own child." Herlin said this as others started to feel awkward.
"H-hey stop talking bad about the Lord. S-she might hear you."
"What are you people doing?"
