Lily was just finishing up a laugh when Yuki pulled into the side of the road, parking just in front of her apartment building. He had just told her about one of his many experiences with a delusional patient who thought the doctor was the messiah that came to take her to heaven. Yuki intentionally emphasized on the patient's reactions, cranking Lily up so much, she had to hold the bottom of her stomach while she laughed.
"I wonder how you could keep a straight face in such a situation."
Lily blurted, taking steady breaths to calm herself from the intense laugh she just had.
"If I do, I'll be tagged insensitive so I had to keep a straight face," Yuki replied, turning off the ignition of his Tesla. "But it was hard though," he chuckled. "One of the hardest things I've had to do in my life and I went to medical school."
Lily wanted to stop laughing but Yuki was making it really hard. "Stop, stop," she begged, wiping a tear that was threatening to fall.
