"Big brother!"
Asher was just a few steps into the black themed restaurant when the bubbly voice of his sister pierced through the slightly noisy atmosphere. He turned in the direction of the voice, his left, to find her waving vigorously at him with a broad grin. After a loud, heavy sigh, he moved his feet to where she sat.
"I told you never to call me that name again."
Was the first thing he said when he got to her table. An excited Esme giggled before throwing her arms around her empathetic brother. She was very aware of the fact that he didn't like hugs. He never did since their mother passed away when they were young, but she never heeded.
Standing completely still, Asher let Esme embrace him. He had gotten used to his stubborn sister throwing her arms around him whenever they met, even after repeatedly telling her not to do so. He had convinced himself she continued to disobey him on purpose. After a long minute, she pulled away.
