A vast golden gate with the word G engraved on it is the first thing that the limo pulls up to. After pressing the intercom button, the driver converses briefly with the other person before the gates open, and the vehicle pulls up to the driveway.
Looking out the window, I notice several trees on both sides of the driveway.
A dog starts to chase after the car while a man is also racing after it. "Jacky," he shouts out.
The dog pauses momentarily and glances at the man before it lets out a bark and leaves once more.
Alanie lets out a chuckle. Jacky is aware that I am present. That is the reason why he is fleeing from Nick.
The vehicle stops close to a statue of an angel made of gold.
Melvin is the first to exit the vehicle, extending his hand to Alanie, who then takes it. Alanie accepts his hand.
She touches his chest, and she says. "Thanks, Melvin." She yells as she marches away. "It's Paul." Melvin extends his hand to me, and I feel compelled to take it away. I get a grin from him. "Should I be worried who owns this place?"
My head nods. "It's the Gotti Family."
There is a pallor on his face. He looks around and says, "Shit," and we see that there are heavily armed guys all around the premises. "At least we're well protected on these guys' premises."
I chuckle to myself. "That's true."
Paul approaches us and walks over. It appears that he is not carrying a holster, as he is wearing the same outfit that he wore following this. What's up, Katherine? As I promised you, I won't be bringing a firearm with me to dinner.
I feel Melvin grab my arm, and he murmurs at me. "Why didn't you tell me that he had a gun while you were meeting him?"
"I didn't think it was important."
It is crucial to me that you meet anybody you do. The last thing I want is for you to put your life in any more danger than it already is.
What exactly does he mean when he says, "Put your life at a risk that is even greater than it already is?" As far as I am aware, I am unaware of any threat to my life.
Paul extends his hand to Melvin so that he can shake it. "I'm Paul Gotti."
Melvin extends his hand to it. "Melvin Williams."
"I believed that I had recognized you. In that case, when is your next blockbuster going to be released?
Melvin's arm entirely encircles me. "I'm working on a movie now while I do some modeling on the side for the company that Katherine works for."
A gentleman with dirty blonde hair and a suit walks out the door for the first time. His eyes are blue, and he looks similar to his sibling.
One of the girls standing next to him is a blonde female in a short scarlet dress that falls just over her knees. Her hair is in a ponytail.
I recognize Lydia and Quinn Gotti as they go over hand in hand. They are walking over to talk to me.
An image that represents the Gotti group.
The Gotti Group is a front for all the criminal activities they engage in, and many people are aware of this fact.
Although I am not in her position, I find it challenging to comprehend how someone like Lydia can monitor his actions while simultaneously living a happy life with him.
I find myself in a very different circumstance. While being engaged to my closest friend by accident in front of the public, I fall in love with him.
At this point, Melvin and I are beginning to feel as though we are experiencing the real thing, yet one thing is preventing me from getting too close to him, and that is Michelle.
Every square inch of the mansion brings to mind all of the occasions when he has been alone in the house with her, as well as all of the locations where they may have had sexual encounters.
I have a different idea of what a home should be like than she does, yet everything in the house in the house is exactly what she envisioned for them as a pair.
The more time I spend with Melvin, the more I fall in love with him, and I am also aware that it will be difficult for me to break up with him at the party.
Occasionally, I can perceive Melvin's affection for me; however, I am unsure whether it is genuine love or a crush. I am terrified of discovering the truth about it.
Melvin introduces Quinn and Lydia. "This is my fiancé Katherine Walker, and I'm Melvin Williams."
Lydia lets out a squeal. It is a pleasure to meet you in person finally. I want to get your autograph.."
Melvin lets out a chuckle. "Sure, Sweetheart."
Could you also take a picture of me? The fact that I met a celebrity like yourself is something that my best friend would not believe.
"Don't you meet celebrities all the time with your company?"
She shrugs. "They're not Melvin Williams."
Taking a peek at Melvin, she then says. "Paige and I have loved you since your first movie, and we've had a bet at who would meet you first, and I won."
When Quinn smiles, she is easily agitated and agitated. Could you please forgive her for the way she behaved?
I chuckle to myself. Once upon a time, I was the same way—up until I met the guy I had a crush on, a celebrity, and discovered that he was a complete and utter jerk. You can't take people at face value when it comes to Melvin, but he doesn't have a single mean bone in his body. This is the reason why I love him.
Melvin lowers his head and presses his lips against mine while he does so.
I encircle his neck with my arms and intensify the kiss we share.
Because he consumed mint before we arrived, he has a flavor similar to peppermint.
The throat begins to clear, and I notice her face turning crimson when I gaze at my sister. "Is there a problem?"
"Yes," she says as she approaches me, Paul's hand in hers. "I don't want to see my sister get stripped on the driveway with my boyfriend's family around."
My eyes roll when I do so. "You are going to be held accountable for that remark, sister. I will compensate for what I've done to you when you least expect it.
And she laughs. "I'm looking forward to it."
"I'll show you into the house," Quinn says, and he guides the way inside the home.
After ascending a few flights of stairs, we reach the entrance of the building.
We proceed inside after Quinn has opened the door for us.
A double staircase can be found to the left of the door, and it goes to the second story of the home.
While there is a fireplace in the living area, a chandelier is hanging there. The Gotti family has a collection of photographs hung above the fireplace.
After that, there is a picture of Lydia and Quinn on their wedding day.
Immediately adjacent to that is a photograph of the wedding party.
A person with a redhead is looking at a man who appears to be a combination of Paul and Quinn.
He is likely related to them.
I can halt next to Lydia. "I love that group photo." She then takes it in her hands and indicates the redhead. I am referring to my best friend Paige Reece, and the individual that she is eyeing is Cory, who is Quinn's cousin. In just a few weeks, they will be getting married, and not too long after the ceremony, they will welcome their first child into the world.
"How long did she have a crush on Cory before he asked her out?" She responds with laughter. He never inquired about her. She had to decide to ask him out on her own. The first time they went out together, he informed her that he could not ask her out because he did not want to jeopardize her life. She told him that if her closest friend was able to be associated with her cousin, then she could do the same thing about her cousin.
Is it true that she asked him to marry her? Did he come up with the idea?
He was the owner. To begin, he approached me. It was important to him that I was satisfied with the situation. Are you aware of the way that the boys ask the parents? My head nods. "Well, Paige and I don't have particularly wonderful parents, and we devised a plan that if we were to get married, the fiance would have to gain permission from the person who is our best friend, both of us. When Paige asked Quinn about it, he responded with much force.
"I hope you did the same to him."
It was me. Compared to Quinn's relationship with my closest friend, he had to go through more hoops. He achieved a victory with flying colors.
"What kind of test did he have to pass?"
"I needed to be sure that he would be able to safeguard my closest friend if something were to take place with other families, and he demonstrated that to me. It would be best if you took the test with Paul.
It's possible that I will.
As I looked around the room, I noticed that Melvin and Quinn were having a serious chat, and then they left the room together.
Towards Quinn, Lydia casts her gaze in that direction. "Oh," she mumbles under her breath. "Quinn is in business mode with Melvin."
