The crimson sky enveloped the world under its bloody might. The Blood-Sun, circled by devilish clouds, shone in the center, increasing the world's bloody hue.
For a few minutes, Asher found himself in a dark mood. Feeling the winds calmly, he took a deep breath, trying to lighten himself.
"What's about to happen next is something your mind won't be able to bear." The Cosmic God exclaimed with a grim expression.
"What do you mean?" Asher spat back immediately. For some reason, guilt wobbled up in his heart. His right eye twisted slightly in confusion.
'Why am I feeling like this?' Asher thought silently, hoping to find an answer to his question.
As he looked towards the battlefield, the black-haired man had fallen to his knees. Tears dripped down his face, his lips wavering. His black blade had fallen to his side.
Blood had stained the ground slightly; the atmosphere felt dim. Asher grimly observed the black-haired man. His shoulders were slightly trembling, filled with empathy.
Suddenly, the black-haired man burst out crying. Tears stained the ground beneath, and the shadows around him bent weirdly. Squinting his eyes, Asher finally realized, his eyes widening.
'Shadows are... crying?'
The sound of the black-haired man echoed through the dimension.
"Wh-y," He said in a trembling voice, punching the land beneath. His face was soaked with tears. Suddenly, he bellowed.
"I WILL SLAUGHTER THEM. I SWEAR, I SWEAR..." Before he could complete his grief, he halted and continued his crying.
Asher looked at the man with a grim expression; a memory flashed in his mind—a memory he wished to forget more than anything.
The memory showed a ragged, dusty, and jagged road. Just beside the road, a half-destroyed house lay. Blood stained the cracked road; across it, the door of the destroyed house lay.
Tears started to pour down Asher's face; the Cosmic God turned his head to stare at him. With a soaked face, Asher felt his lips tremble. His heart wavered with sadness and guilt.
'Why was I so weak that day?' Asher thought, the tears pouring down like a river. The ground beneath him had been soaked with tears.
"Bearing something is what a mature person does. It happens Asher, you just have to push forward." The Cosmic God said solemnly, his eyes stared at Asher's soaked face.
"Why... do I feel that way now? Why?" Asher exclaimed with a trembling voice. His eyes suddenly reeked with rage. He gritted his teeth so hard that it started to tremble.
The Cosmic God sighed, followed by an overbearing silence.
"That man crying, that's me." The Cosmic said with a voice filled with guilt. His hair waved as a tear fell from his eyes, tapping gently against the ground.
His green eyes shimmered like crystal gemstones under the crimson sky.
"I already had figured as much." Asher replied with the same voice. His lips trembled slightly once again as he said that.
The Cosmic God smiled as he let out a silent chuckle.
"Cut that despair out; I already know you've been bearing since you were a child. You used to comfort your little brothers whenever they cried about their father dying." The Cosmic God said, his hair brushing against the gentle winds.
Instead of feeling shocked, Asher found himself within a bottle of grief. With widened teary eyes, he said:
"I had no choice; I had to comfort them. They couldn't even speak properly back then. They were just young."
"But who comforted you?" The Cosmic God immediately said.
Asher's eyes widened, eventually becoming slightly squinted. His shoulders fell down.
"I can't."
"What?"
"I can't cry. I can't... I can't," Asher exclaimed, his eyes that had no life left within them before reverting back to their normal expression.
Suddenly, Asher faced the sky; he gritted his teeth, bearing in all of that grief.
"I wish..."
The Cosmic God let out a small 'hm?' before starting at Asher.
"I wish I could just destroy that man. Rip him to shreds, tear him apart. That man, that red-haired bastard. I will chase him even to the depths of hell if I have to." Asher said, his eyes brimming with tears.
The Cosmic God behind him smiled, letting out a small chuckle, he said:
"Be careful, the gates to rage might just lead you to hell."
Asher looked at the Cosmic God. A minuscule flame had appeared in his eyes; several sparkles shone within it as if stars were shining in the motionless void.
"Then so be it."
"..."
The Cosmic God stood there stunned. He looked at Asher once again.
'This kid.'
Soon, a smile appeared on his face, and he brought his hand out. A black ribbon lay with intricate white patterns extending down to its end.
Asher looked at the god, ignoring the ribbon completely.
"Take it, wear it until you achieve your goal. Just know one thing, I will always be beside you." The Cosmic God said with a grin. His pale white face had a bloody hue to it. His green eyes shimmered as he said that.
Asher reluctantly took the ribbon, and with a slow motion, he wore the ribbon on his eyes. Surprisingly, even after he had the ribbon on his eyes, he could see everything.
He looked at the God in front of him with a stunned expression. His lips curled upwards as he looked at the God before him.
"Just don't forget, don't fear to massacre everyone should they stand in front of you. Never let an innocent get hurt, never do injustice to anyone. Purity is what leads your goal to become something of pride. Achieve it with Purity! Embrace it." The Cosmic God said with a delightful grin.
Asher nodded with a smile as well before turning towards the battlefield.
