Asher's eyes had widened, and his pupils had contracted. The world was trembling with such might that it felt unreal.
Seeing the upcoming behemoth of an attack, he turned around, facing the Cosmic God beside him.
"Don't you think we should run?" Asher exclaimed; his voice had a tinge of fear in it, his shoulders trembling slightly as he said that.
A smirk appeared on the God's face. Suddenly, he faced down, staring at the ground. His eyes were covered by the shadows of his hair.
'What is trying to do?' Asher grimaced internally, staring at the god with a distorted expression. Fear had become evident in his eyes; the world was already being torn apart.
'Just how could this guy act like this.' Asher thought, his furrows burrowed.
"Just watch what's about to happen." He said calmly, his smirk had vanished replaced by a nonchalant expression.
Asher blinked before nodding, turning towards the battlefield afterward.
The entire world had become a mess; the cosmic energy had intensified; it felt as if a true omniscient deity had descended upon the universe. Astraeus levitated in the air, still clad in his cosmic energy; his white-intricate patterns glowed with such illuminance that could probably enlighten the world of a blind person.
Asher narrowed his eyes slightly; a frown appeared on his face.
'The sky has been ripped off.' Asher thought before bringing two of his hands forward. His eyes stared at Astraeus. For some reason...
He felt to copy his movements.
However, before he could do so, an arm suddenly appeared, holding his hands tightly. Asher grunted slightly before turning to the God beside him who had just stopped him.
"Don't, at least not now." The Cosmic God said with a solemn expression. His eyes showed severe bloodlust. Asher stared at the God calmly; a bead of sweat drooped down both of their foreheads.
'...'
The Cosmic God retracted his hands, his bloodlust fading away as if it never even existed in the first place. A smirk appeared on Asher's face.
'I don't know why this feels amusing.' Asher contemplated with confusion. A brief moment of silence occurred between them, only broken by the ongoing godly mess occurring on the battlefield.
"I think it's time we leave this place." The Cosmic God exclaimed before turning around and moving in the opposite direction of the battlefield.
A frown appeared on Asher's face for a split second before reverting back to the nonchalant expression.
The cosmic sky reigned the sky; sparkles shone as if stars were shining in the bottomless abyss. Just as Asher thought they were leaving, a huge explosion illuminated the world once again.
'What?' Asher thought before facing the sky, his eyes widened once more. At this point, he couldn't even count how many times he had been stunned.
The Cosmic God suddenly halted in his steps just as the explosion occurred. His eyes widened, an expression of fear showcasing itself on his face.
"What happened?" Asher exclaimed, staring at the God who had halted in his steps. His eyes twitched slightly at the God.
'We could just go, why are we even here?' Asher thought with a hint of annoyance on the tip of his tongue.
Just as he was about to approach the god, the sky suddenly got illuminated by a bright crystal light. A white hue fell over the world, Asher feeling something was eerie, faced upwards.
And he was horrified by what he saw.
'A... pair of wings.'
Two white wings had appeared in the sky, if Asher had to guess, they were the size of a planet each. Engulfing the world under its sheer might. White steams flew off of each, giving a holy yet eerie view.
And the worst of all, the wings were falling towards the world, leaving a huge trail of flames behind; it was as if the previous void was now clashing against an Angel. The Cosmic Energy intensified even more, so much that Asher felt that if they didn't leave this place now, they would fall into the void when this world was torn apart.
Realizing the sword hanging on their necks, Asher immediately ran towards the Cosmic God. Fear became evident in his eyes. As he ran, the trail of flames left by the wings burst forward, clashing against the Cosmic energy.
The sky became a mixture of cosmic energy and hellish flames. A divine battle was about to begin, a battle that he couldn't even fathom the scale of. His only hope was the man in front of him, halted in his steps.
"MOVE, WE'LL DIE. MOVE!" Asher screamed to the Cosmic God; as he screamed, two fingers made of flames appeared in the sky; feeling his skin scorched slightly against the boiling winds, he took a glance towards the sky.
The two fingers crossed each other, a 'V' mark manifested above them, also made of flames. Followed by a voice echoing throughout the Dimension.
"Gods of the Underworld, Hell keepers, Divine Demons. Befall upon the world, for me, the master of the Underworld."
The voice was deep-young, reeking with concealed godly might. Each word felt like eons of suffering for Asher. Blood started to pour from his ears.
"Judgement of Hell; The Bane of Oblivion."
Instantly, flames appeared from the fingers; the V mark dissolved into several gigantic spears. Each spear was much bigger than the spears Asher had encountered.
The world trembled intensely with such might that it sent some remaining mountains off their ground. The Cosmic Energy intensified, clashing against the flames with its utter might.
"ASTRAEUS!" Asher screamed with everything he had, but it was for naught that God remained halted in his footsteps, not even moving a muscle.
'Crap, I have no choice.' He thought as a white-golden lightning cracked beside him. A golden flame started to convulse within his being. The flames inside his eyes burst forward.
Golden runes appeared beneath his feet, covering the expanse of the entire mountain. Bringing his hands forward, Asher decided to follow his intuition once more.
"Cosmic Call: The Fall of a Deity."
His voice echoed through the Dimension for some reason. A brief moment of silence engulfed the world. Even the cosmic energy and flames halted for a brief moment.
Astraeus, who was standing still in the sky, suddenly flinched upon the voice.
Suddenly, Asher felt something. The flame inside him, to spite everyone, intensified. His determination went through the heavens. The flames in his eyes intensified as well, and the golden runes beneath him suddenly increased, covering everything that his eye could see.
A set of golden-runes suddenly appeared on Asher's forehead, extending to his neck with intricate patterns.
Instantly, two pairs of white-golden wings appeared behind Asher, much larger than they were before. White-gold lightning cracked through the sky. Immediately, Asher snapped his fingers, followed by a burst of flames from it, covering everywhere Asher could see.
A tachi manifested itself on his hand, the world trembled upon Asher taking a step forward, the ground beneath him shattering. Space bent itself, cracking even.
[You have defied Fate for the first time]
A voice echoed in his ears; however, he couldn't care less. His goal was to survive, and survival only.
A mark manifested itself on his forehead just above the golden runes, which looked like half 'V.' The white-gold flames circled Asher, gripping his spear firmly; he stared at the mysterious wings.
Holding his tachi like a spear, he took another step forward. The ground beneath his shattered one again, jagged even, space cracked as he did so.
"I guess I have to interfere."
