Telekinesis initially seemed weak and like an ordinary skill. However, once Sylas became proficient in using it, he realized just how useful it truly was. While Fire Control had powerful destructive capabilities, it also created a lot of noise and had significant usage limitations. Telekinesis, on the other hand, was different.
Though it didn't seem powerful, telekinesis was perfect for dealing with ordinary zombies. Moreover, it had many potential applications that Sylas hadn't yet explored.
After clearing the lobby of all zombies, Sylas took the elevator back up to Sydney's apartment. Sydney had finished packing her belongings and was waiting for Sylas.
"We're ready to go. Let's move," Sylas said to Sydney.
"Okay," Sydney nodded and followed Sylas out. This was the first time since the apocalypse that Sydney had stepped outside her home.
As soon as she exited, she saw the zombie corpses scattered on the ground. Her face changed, but she quickly suppressed her fear. They took the elevator down to the lobby.
"Are there any zombies downstairs?" Sydney asked worriedly.
"There were zombies," Sylas replied, "but for your safety, I went down earlier and killed all of them."
Sydney was astonished and her mouth fell open in shock. "He cleared all the zombies for my safety? That's terrifying, but also incredibly touching. I feel so safe."
As they reached the lobby, there wasn't a single living zombie left. All the zombies had been killed. Despite being mentally prepared, Sydney was still shocked by the sight of the numerous zombie corpses scattered everywhere.
Sydney already knew that Sylas had killed the zombies, but she hadn't anticipated the sheer number of them. Seeing it with her own eyes left her utterly stunned.
"Sylas is so strong," Sydney thought to herself.
"Let's go," Sylas said, taking the lead. If they encountered any zombies on the way, it would be up to Sylas to handle them.
Despite Sylas having cleared out a significant number of zombies from the neighborhood, there were still plenty around. It was impossible to clear them all completely.
Whenever they were attacked by zombies, Sylas used his telekinesis ability to control the katana and slay the zombies. This method was more convenient, faster, and safer than Sylas wielding the katana himself.
Watching Sylas effortlessly kill zombies along the way, Sydney looked at him with growing admiration.
"We're home," Sylas announced, opening the villa door and leading Sydney inside.
"I'm back," Sylas called out, to let Clarissa know it was him and that there was no need for concern.
Clarissa, who had been in the room, breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing Sylas's voice. She and Hayden quickly came over. Seeing Sylas bringing another woman back, Clarissa was taken aback, especially since Sydney was so beautiful, which made Clarissa feel even more cautious.
"Clarissa?" Sydney exclaimed, wide-eyed.
She couldn't believe Clarissa was here with Sylas too. Did this mean that Clarissa, like herself, was also Sylas's slave?
Immediately afterward, Sydney saw Hayden emerging from behind Clarissa and was once again shocked. Both Hayden and Clarissa were here; it was simply unbelievable.
Sylas addressed the three women, "Let me introduce you all. This is Hayden, this is Clarissa, and this is Sydney. You all have the same status here, and from now on, you are sisters and should get along well."
Hearing this, the three women understood that they were all Sylas's slaves. Clarissa, Hayden, and Sydney were speechless at Sylas's behavior, finding it unbelievable that he had managed to gather three such beautiful women. However, knowing that Sylas was the only man here and the rest were women, they felt somewhat reassured. Had Sylas brought other men, they might not have felt so secure.
"Hello, Clarissa. Hello, Hayden. I'm so glad to meet you both here," Sydney said excitedly. Compared to her status as an internet celebrity, both Clarissa and Hayden were major stars, people she had always looked up to. It was unexpected that they now shared the same fate as Sylas's slaves.
Clarissa and Hayden felt a bit awkward, but Clarissa, understanding their current situation, smiled and said, "Sydney, welcome to our family."
"Thank you, Clarissa," Sydney replied quickly.
"It looks like you're getting along well, which is great," Sylas said, satisfied. He didn't concern himself with what the women felt internally as long as they treated each other with courtesy and got along. In this apocalyptic world, their former statuses didn't matter. Surviving was the greatest blessing.
"Let's cook. I'm hungry. By the way, tonight we're having Japanese sukiyaki. I've brought the ingredients and the base," Sylas said casually.
The mention of Japanese sukiyaki instantly piqued the interest of the three women.
