Chapter 26 - Hayden's Supernatural Reward

Facing Sylas's gun, Randall and his men were all petrified. Randall, trembling, said, "Please don't shoot. We can talk this out. We'll leave."

"Randall, do you think this guy's gun is real?" one of Randall's men said skeptically from behind him.

Hearing this, Randall hesitated. He wasn't sure if Sylas's gun was real. But what if it was?

Before Randall could react, Sylas pulled the trigger. With a bang, a bullet blew Randall's head off. Randall's face was still frozen in fear, unable to believe he was killed instantly. This also confirmed that Sylas's gun was real.

With a wicked smile, Sylas turned to the remaining two men. "Now you know if my gun is real or not, right?"

"It's real! We were wrong. Please spare us," the two men said, trembling.

Seeing Sylas with a handgun terrified them. Not only were they frightened, but Hayden was also shocked. She hadn't expected Sylas to have a gun, let alone use it so decisively.

At that moment, Sylas fired two more shots, killing the remaining two men instantly.

"How boring. It's better to just kill them outright," Sylas muttered to himself.

Initially, he had considered showing off in front of the two men, but he quickly found it uninteresting. So, he simply shot them both.

Hayden let out a sharp scream, terrified by the sudden violence.

"Stop screaming, or you'll attract all the zombies around," Sylas said coldly.

Hearing Sylas, Hayden quickly covered her mouth. However, her reaction was too late; the gunshots had already drawn the zombies' attention. Sylas was aware of this but remained unfazed. Instead, he looked at Hayden with interest.

"A prime slave candidate detected: Hayden, rating 97."

Sylas's eyes lit up. No wonder Hayden had a system rating of 97. The system interface also displayed Hayden's physical attributes, showing impressive measurements and confirming she was untouched.

Looking at Hayden with a hint of eagerness, Sylas spoke firmly, "Hayden, I can rescue you and take you away. I can provide for you and ensure your safety. The only price you need to pay is to become my slave. Now, answer me: are you willing to be my slave?"

Hayden felt embarrassed and avoided Sylas's gaze, softly asking, "Can't there be another condition? I can work for you."

"I don't need that, and you don't have the skills for it. Do you think you can help me kill zombies?" Sylas replied. "Your only value to me is as my slave, and in the future, to bear my children."

"Think about it. If you become the mother of my children, I will certainly take good care of you."

"This is my only condition. If you agree, I'll take you with me. Of course, I won't force you. If you refuse, I'll leave, but I won't take you with me."

Hayden's face showed a look of hesitation.

Sylas suddenly pointed at the front door and said, "Listen, the zombies are here, right outside."

He fell silent, and the sounds of zombies growling and howling outside the door became clearly audible. Hearing this, Hayden's face turned pale.

"I agree, please take me with you," Hayden said, trembling.

"Do you agree to be my slave?" Sylas repeated, as the system had not yet responded, prompting him to ask again.

"Yes, I agree."

With Hayden's confirmation, the system finally reacted, and Hayden became Sylas's slave. Another main task was completed. As a result, the system granted Sylas a reward.

"Hayden has willingly become your slave."

"You have successfully obtained a prime slave. Reward: Fire Control Ability."

"You have gained the ability: Fire Control."

**Fire Control**: Level 1, allows you to manipulate fire for attacks at will.

Sylas was taken aback, not expecting Hayden's reward to be an ability, especially one as powerful as fire control. He was also surprised that previous skill rewards hadn't been labeled as abilities, whereas this one was clearly marked as such.

Sylas understood that although both were considered skill rewards, there must be a significant difference between abilities and regular skills. He also noticed that the Fire Control ability had a level indicator, currently at Level 1, whereas previous skills had no such indicator and were not upgradable.

Only the Fire Control ability was marked as an upgradable skill.
