Chapter 30 - Baillie fantasies

Baillie, who had left Ajax to study, came across a bookstore where boys were rushing in as if they would miss out on something that could make them billionaires. Fond of her brother, Baillie decided to check out the store, thinking that whatever was inside might be a good gift for him.

As she walked into the store, all the boys looked at her, but she didn't care about their stares. Inside, she discovered it was an adult bookstore filled with many adult books. Baillie, who only knew about military matters and found everything else meaningless, felt her face redden as she looked through the books.

The more books she looked at, the more she felt like a frog from a well introduced to the sea. She realized how little she knew about the adult world. All she understood was that when two people kissed and showed their body parts to each other, a baby was born. She felt like a primary school student learning something new every minute as she read those books.

She found a book section titled "Step Sister and Me." When she opened a book, her body heated up, and her heartbeat quickened. She read other books and decided to buy all of them, then left with her purchases.

Ajax was holding her hand, ready to ask something. He said, "I wanted to test out something on you, or if you are not free, I can do it myself."

Baillie remembered reading a book where the stepsister peeked into her stepbrother's room and offered her help. Though she didn't want to do that, if Ajax wanted to do something with her, she was willing to help him. She said, "You can ask me for anything, Ajax. Don't hesitate."

Baillie began to imagine Ajax asking her to do something with him. She envisioned rejecting him and saying that they shouldn't do something like this because it could cause problems for him in the future. Her mind filled with fantasies of Ajax forcing himself on her and her acceptance of it.

But then Ajax shattered her fantasy by saying, "Sister, I wanted to test out some new spells I've learned. If you're free, I'd like you to see these spells and give me some feedback if needed."

Baillie, whose fantasy was abruptly destroyed, looked at Ajax and blinked a few times. Embarrassed by her previous thoughts, she said, "Oh, spells. So you want to test your spells? Okay, but there are simulators available here."

Ajax interrupted her, "Simulators? What are those?"

Baillie explained, "Oh, those were developed outside of the Pantheon. They can simulate any situation you want, but there's a problem."

Ajax asked, "What's the problem?"

Baillie scratched her head and said, "Simulators only work outside of Pantheons because Pantheons contain high levels of magicules, making it difficult to use electrical and technical items here."

Ajax then asked, "But sister, you said mother cut ties with her mother—our grandmother—so we aren't connected to the Pantheon, right?"

Baillie replied, "Yes, you're right. Mother cut ties with our grandmother, but she wasn't powerful enough to start our own Pantheon. We don't have enough gods on our side to claim a Pantheon for ourselves. So, our universe is still attached to my grandmother's Pantheon as always."

Ajax asked, "Sister, you say our grandmother is overly protective, but why did she cut ties with us?"

Baillie sighed and said, "That's a family matter I'll explain another time."

Ajax, understanding family problems since he had been in a more troubled family before, thought this situation wasn't as severe as his previous one. He sighed, remembering his old family.

Ajax said, "Okay, sister. I really want to test these spells. If there are no simulators here, could you take me to a place where monsters or wild animals live? I want to test these spells on them, but it shouldn't be a place visited by others."

Baillie thought about it and asked, "Ajax, if there are people living there, is that okay?"

Ajax replied, "No, I don't know the full extent of these spells. I don't want to take the risk of testing them where people live."

Baillie considered his request and said, "There is a place, but it's not safe for someone at your level of godhood."

Ajax stepped in front of her and said, "Don't worry, sister. I don't know my full extent of power yet. This will be a great chance to test myself." He said this because he wanted to show his sister that he was capable. He continued, "Sister, you can take me to a place where less powerful monsters reside. I know you know about such places."

Baillie reassured him, "I know. Don't worry, my brother. I will be with you. Even if a powerful monster appears, I will handle it immediately."

Though Ajax wanted to test these spells alone—especially the "Nuclear Fireball," which signified nothing but destruction—he accepted his sister's offer of protection.

Baillie then asked, "Do you want to continue reading these books in the library?"

Ajax replied, "No, sister. I'll stop for now now."

Baillie said, "Okay. For now, rest yourself. Tomorrow morning, I'll take you there, alright?" She kissed him on the cheek and said, "Bye."

Ajax blushed slightly and then returned to normal. It had become normal for her to kiss him whenever she came around, but he didn't realize that Baillie saw it as a more affectionate gesture. In the future, there would be many more kisses from his sister to him.

Ajax got up from the chair, left the library, went home to his room, and slept.
