Chapter 31 - king and queen

In the king's hall, the king was sitting on his throne while a woman dressed as a maid stood nearby. The king looked like he was in his twenties, but as a primordial god, his age was immeasurable. He took the maid's hand, pulled her into his lap, and kissed her neck, adjusting her hair. This maid was his first wife, Carol.

Carol, with her long white hair and slim body, looked like a maid who could attract any man with a maid fantasy. As the king kissed her and rubbed his hands all over her body, the door to the hall opened. His second queen and wife, Edith, came rushing in and hugged him from behind.

As she hugged him, she looked at the first queen in the maid outfit and questioned her, saying, "Look at that, the first queen still seducing my king. Do you want something from him?" she teased, whispering in her ear.

The first queen looked at Edith and said, "No, if you've forgotten, I was actually first appointed as a maid before our king became your husband," she replied with a mocking voice.

The king had come from a small noble family and was acquainted with a master. One day, his master was killed, and for revenge, the king began looking for the killer, making connections around the world. Eventually, he became a powerful figure, even respected by well-established pantheons.

In his journey, he met three girls and married them. First was his personal maid, Carol, then Edith, his master's powerful daughter. His third wife was not with him at the moment because she was a king like him, maintaining a universe herself. He married her due to political reasons, and they eventually fell in love.

Geta said, "It looks like you're having a hard time controlling our son William these days. Are you ready to lose our bet?"

The king asked, "What bet?" with confusion. Since he announced his retirement from kingship and the intention to make someone else king, things had gotten out of hand. His only son, William, who was kind-hearted and forgiving, was now doing things that even he couldn't understand. He wanted to investigate, but his wife and daughter stopped him. He realized they were playing a game with William, and he didn't know why.

The king felt pity for his son, who had become a toy for his mothers and sisters. He was loved by all of them but couldn't understand why they were doing this to William.

Queen Geta said, "We will tell you when the results come. Now, let's continue where we left off." As she said that, she kissed him on the lips.

Edith, frustrated by seeing Carol's actions, came between them, pulling them apart. She said, "Shamanth, don't do these things now. Geta, I came here because I wanted to discuss what's happening with our son William. You know that his behavior has changed. Whenever I visit him, he used to welcome me with a smile, but now that smile has disappeared. There's a serious look on his face. His behavior has changed so much that he doesn't seem like William at all."

As she said that, Geta and Shamanth looked at Edith. They knew William's behavior had changed drastically, but they didn't know the reason. The only explanation they had was the throne succession. William was the only boy in the family, and the other girls had no ambition for the throne, but he had been looking at them like enemies ever since Shamanth announced his retirement and the transfer of the kingship to the best child.

The king wondered if he had made the right decision to announce his retirement. He didn't know, but he was sure the enemy would take advantage of the situation. He couldn't do anything about it because he had promised his wives not to take any action until someone became king of his great kingdom.

Geta got up from the king and walked towards Edith, who looked like she was about to cry. She hugged her, saying, "Sister, I know what's happening to William, but we can't stop what he's going through. If we stop it now, how will he learn how things are done? He needs to understand how to make friends and recognize his enemies. Because he's our only son, we've given him too much love."

Edith, with a worried look on her face, looked at her husband, Shamanth, and said, "Is there a way to help him indirectly or directly? I'm worried that someone will take advantage of my son. I want him to stand on top, not like this. I want him to achieve things on his own."

Geta sighed and said, "Look, I have a plan that will teach those bastards a lesson. We'll make them regret targeting our home. We'll make them suffer without killing them, just like a man whose body is burned and wants nothing more than death."

As Geta and Edith discussed their plan, King Shamanth sighed in pain. It wasn't because of his son's condition, but because he always thought he would be the one making plans and protecting his family. Now, his family was planning to punish those who wanted to harm them. He was happy and sad at the same time. He felt he should protect them, but if he intervened now, he would go against his promise. So, he remained silent to see what they wanted to do.

Their first plan was to send the first princess to the God Academy. The second was to remove the accusations against Flora. There were many more plans. As the king listened to their conversation, he was lost for words at how much they had planned ahead.

After finishing their discussion, they hugged each other, giggling at every word, and left without saying a word to him.

Now, Shamanth was angry. Some people dared to disturb his alone time with his wives and make his son do things he normally wouldn't do. Even though he promised not to intervene, as the head and father of the family, he had a duty to protect them. He called out, "Shadows!" As he said that, several people wearing black clothes emerged from the shadows. He said, "Go and investigate what happened to my son. Find out why he's behaving abnormally, and make a way for my wives' plans to work, even if it means killing some people along the way." The shadow people disappeared as quickly as they came.

He got up from his chair and walked towards a pillar, naming names, "Levi, Elle Driver... how did they come into contact with my son? Ever since he met them, his behavior has changed. He was like a god of forgiveness but now seems like a god of revenge. Could Levi's control ability have that much power over my son?" He dismissed the thought, knowing that as the son of two primordials, William's mind was stronger than any god who became a god from a mortal like Levi. He concluded that the remaining one, Elle Driver, was the unknown factor. He planned to investigate Elle.

He sat back down, rubbing his head, feeling a headache caused by these people.
