To begin his breakthrough, Kael started by placing the medium level spiritual stones around him in the form of a circle.
He would need to absorb the spiritual energy from them during the preocess. And if his guess was right he would need a lot of spiritual energy.
Next up he lies the two ginsengs to his left and right side, very close to his body. Kael would need their vitality to keep him alive and didn't want any delay later on, which is why he placed them right next to himself.
Since the energy of spiritual herbs is slowly dissipating as long as you don't place them inside a spiritual ring or a special jade container, Kael couldn't take forever.
Still, since they contained such a huge amount of vitality that they could even bring the dead back to life, it would take a very long time for a significant portion of their energy to dissipate.
After waiting for 5 minutes and making sure he was in his peak condition, Kael finally took out the Body tempering pill. It was of peak spiritual grade.
It emitted a faint aura and instantly filled the room with a medicinal smell after Kael took it out of the little box it came with.
Meant for people in the core formation realm, normal cultivators of lower realms wouldn't be able to contain the pill's energy. They would simply explode.
‚Here goes nothing!' Kael thought before decisively swallowing the pill.
Sadly, Kael was still a normal cultivator. And just like every other normal cultivator, his body couldn't contain the high amount of energy and simply exploded instantly.
But don't worry, this was exactly what Kael hoped for. In the place where his body used to be, there now existed only an illusional figure that slightly resembled what seemed to be a younger version of Kael.
This was his soul. Luckily Kael's gamble payed off. His method of breaking through was actually dependent on his guess that his soul could exist outside his body.
But it was not as successful as Kael had hoped. He had the feeling that his soul would dissipate in less than 12 hours if he didn't find a new body until then.
But Kael didn't just want to possess a new body. No, he wanted to create a new one. The problem now was that he didn't fully know how the process worked.
Before starting his breakthrough, he thoroughly studied his body with the help of his soul energy which he could project inside his body. With the help of his comprehension he actually remembered every Aspect of his previous body.
But he didn't just want to recondense his previous body, he wanted something better.
To achieve that he depended on his special soul. He felt that there was a certain powerful aspect making up its existence and he wanted to replicate said aspect for his body.
But since he couldn't understand what that aspect was, he would have to pray a bit. He obviously wouldn't have started this process if he wasn't at least 90% sure that it would work.
Kael only attempted it because he felt a huge amount of confidence emerge from deep inside his soul whenever he thought about what he was to attempt.
He started to condense his body by using the spiritual energy from the spirit stones to fuel the process. The Vitality from the thousand year old ginseng was needed to construct a fleshly body with enough life energy.
Additionally, the body strengthening pill he swallowed before was not really used yet and still had most of its energy remaining. This meant that he could use that energy to strengthen his cells to the limit without exploding.
In the process of condensing he retreated into his consciousness and let himself be controlled by his instincts. This way he could let the special part of his soul, which was part of his very being, be copied inside his body.
This way his soul actually did the main part and he was merely responsible for the framework. This way the newly condensed parts of his body took on a strange state.
But he couldn't acknowledge these changes at the moment or even wonder if that was something good or bad. He was simply driven by instinct. Automatically absorbing the vitality and spiritual energy around him to create a new body.
At first only his nervous system, heart and brain condensed. If someone saw this seen they would be really creeped out. It was a scene right out of a biology lesson or alternatively one from a horror movie.
Afterwards his bones, veines, muscle and skin were created. There was also something else. Meridians. They even seemed thicker and sturdier than normal ones, seemingly able to carry an infinite amount of energy within them.
After his body fully condensed Kael would finally have the ability to cultivate.
There was also something else that was strange if you were to look at Kael right now. His body seemed to fade in and out of existence in clear intervals.
After about 10 hours, Kael's body was finally fully condensed and he awoke from his trance-like state.
‚Yess, I actually survived! What a surprise I wasn't really sure that this would work without any mishaps in the middle.'
‚Let's first have a look at my new body. I hope I'm still as good-looking as before.'
To celebrate his success, Kael decided to spend some money. He went into the system market and bought a full body mirror for a whole 50 credits and placed it against a wall of the cave.
Happy, with his placement, Kael finally looked at himself.

„And I'm back to being a ghost."
„What weird type of body did I condense? I hope I can somehow control dis ability."
Aside from the fact that he was phasing in and out of reality, Kael was actually insanely handsome. And looked way different than his previous self.
Since his clothing was torn to shreds during his explosions he could view his entire body at the moment. And damn was he good looking.
His muscles were extremely defined and also had the perfect size. He didn't look swollen like a bodybuilder but rather like an athlete.
His face was also extremely handsome. His cheekbones and jawline grew more defined and his lips were fuller than before. His pupils turned grey which gave him an air of mystery. He was easily the most handsome and beautiful man he had seen in both of his lives.
Just like his pupils, his hair and eyebrows also took on a dark shade of grey. Not an old person kind of grey but a very beautiful and mysterious one.
The craziest thing though was that all aspects of his body grew by a huge amount (If you know what I mean). His physical height reached exactly 2m. He could have easily become the most successful model ever in his past life. Probably in this one as well.
‚I could even star in a movie as the most handsome ghost ever.'
‚But that would be hard to film since I only turn transparent for a few seconds every time.'
