Chereads / Lord of Everything and Nothing (DROPPED) / Chapter 19 - Leaving the forest

Chapter 19 - Leaving the forest

As the two made their way towards the exit of the cave, Kael suddenly remembered that there was still a 9th stage Energy Refinement beast waiting outside of it.

It was the perfect target for him to release all his frustration which he accumulated over a full year disconnected from any other human being. It also served as a nice target to test out his newly gained strength but that was just a bonus.

Once they arrived at the entrance, Kael suddenly noticed that he would not fit through the small gap with his new body that was over 2 meters tall. But he found a simple solution in his bodily strength that could instantly widen the exit by over five meters with just a casual punch.

As Kael and Karl arrived outside and were able to breathe fresh air for the first time in a long time, a huge beast that resembled a tiger looked towards them with aggression but also a hint of carefulness. Even though the tiger was over 5 meters tall and the odd duo before it were like ants to him, he still felt a hint of danger from both of them.

Kael, upon spotting the tiger, looked at Karl next to him and sighed, of course not unnoticed by the small raccoon.

‚What do you want, huh? Don't sigh at me like that whats your problem?'

‚Its just…' Kael wanted to ask if he couldn't have been a bit cooler, just like the monster before them, but for the peace of his balls he left the words inside his throat. ‚Its nothing. Let me just test out the power of my new body with the help of this tiger in front of us.'

With these words Kael sprinted ahead with the speed of a racing car. Even though he might only be in the first stage of the Energy Gathering Realm, his physical prowess alone could rival a Foundation Building cultivator.

Cultivators at that level usually had the ability to fly and could easily decimate whole streets on their own. Since Kael could keep up with their strength, his speed also reached about 300 km/h without a problem.

The tiger was surprised by this speed. Even if it wasn't it probably wouldn't have been able to react to it anyways. So, when Kael arrived in front of it and punched towards his head, it simply couldn't react at all.

Kael's fist hit it straight in the bottom of its head and to the surprise of both Kael and the tiger, the head simply exploded into a red fountain. Kael who wasn't prepared for it was covered by a huge amount of the tigers blood and completely died red.

At this moment Kael could hear a high-pitched laugh behind him that ruined his mood.

‚You should see yourself right now. You look hilarious' Karl tried to provoke and make fun of him.

‚How would I know that the tiger was so weak?' Kael said with a somewhat proud expression on his face.

‚The gap between a major realm of combat strength is gigantic. The tiger probably achieved Iron Refinement at most. With your strength that was the only outcome to that exchange. Even a stupid kid would know that. Heck I'm not even a day old and I still expected it.'

Karl always knew how to antagonize Kael and he, realizing that he couldn't win against the raccoon, simply gave up.

‚Lets just head back towards the city. If we go towards the west we will reach a base within less than ten minutes.'

With their speed, they easily made their towards the base and even took care of some beasts in the Energy Refinement Realm. The beasts are still closer to the base than in the past. Since they were lacking funds after Kael used all the Body Strengthening Pills for his breakthrough, they would need to sell them for some money.

In this way they only needed about 15 minutes before meeting a few humans infront of the base. But for some reason they looked towards Kael with disgusted faces.

When he looked down on himself he quickly realized the reason for that. He was butt-naked. During his breakthrough all of Kael's clothes were destroyed when his body exploded. Since he didn't carry any with him at the moment he forgot to wear any.

‚Luckily we met a few other cultivators before reaching the base. I couldn't imagine being seen like this by over a million people. Even though there's nothing to be embarrassed about with the size of my dragon.'

So Kael bought a few clothes in the market and put them on before continuing on their journey. The people in this age wore traditional Chinese robes. The explanation that Kael found for that online was that they simply thought it was cool and fit in the overall theme of cultivation.

Kael also thought that they were right so he bought some high quality grey robes that matched the color of his hair and eyes. After putting on the robe he suddenly exuded an immortal and unfathomable aura. It seems like there's a hidden boost in aura when you put on such a robe.

Content with the way he looked now, Kael continued to head towards the base. Even though you might think it was just a small outpost it instead coul contain a million people. With its vicinity to Yellow River City, which held almost 20 Million people as well, it was considered one of the most popular destinations for people who wanted to enter the bestforest in this part of the continent.

With the increase in earths size, the population and size of cities increased while there were almost no more rural areas. Even the smallest cities held over a million citizens since you needed connections and access to good education and training if you wanted to be successful in this changed world.

The world was governed by a single world government that led the developement of the human race, which is why it was simply called the Human Government. It was made up mostly of the strongest cultivators since only they had enough power to actually enforce the decisions they made.

Below the Human Government were the 5 big sects. At least on paper. In reality they mostly used the government for their own interest, but those often aligned with the interest of the world as well. It would just be hard for people that were not a member of the big sects to gain resources or authority. But overall the smooth developement of the human race and its security were still ensured.

The Human Government set a few rules that everybody had to follow. One of them was that cultivators were not allowed to kill or harm normal people or oppress them with the help of their might. Breaking such a rule brought a harsh punishment with it and most of the time they were enforced strictly.

Most of these rules were to ensure the safety of normal humans and especially the geniuses. This is also why it was made a rule to register all contracted beasts to ensure that no beast would suddenly lose control inside a city and harm ordinary civilians.

This was also where Kael and Karl were headed to at the moment. A beast registration office that was part of the base. When entering the base you would usually need to show the beasts registration papers but since Karl didn't have any he could only gain a temporary access to the base.

If he didn't show a valid ID after 24 hours he would automatically be expelled from the city through the tracker that was placed inside his temporary residence permittance.

At the Registration office Kael only needed to prove that he could control Karl if needed by commanding him to do a few tasks. A few of the female staff at the office even asked if they could touch Karl but he was adamant that no dirty human touch his sacred fur.

‚Finally we were able to escape from that hell. How dare they look at me like I'm a cute little animal instead of realizing that a true deity stands before them.' Karl started complaining as soon as they left the office. According to him the worst part was that he had to act like he would follow Kael's orders.

Kael didn't choose to comment on any of Karls remarks. He was truly wise for that and instead looked up the registration process for the Saviour Sect on his phone.

The saviour sect was the second-ranked sect and was the overlord in the territory that Kael was in at the moment. They also had the best reputation among all five big sects since they fought with the most enthusiasm on the front line. They were also generally the nicest towards rogue cultivators and civilians and didn't act high and mighty. This way of acting was to the liking of Kael and since they were the closest anyway he might as well join them.

Secretly Kael was also afraid of a typical young master trying to provoke the protagonist who was obviously Kael himself. So he thought that the chances for such a scenario were the lowest with the Savious Sect.

According to the information he found on his phone there would be an entrance examination at the sects main city in a month which should be more than enough time for Karl and Kael to head there.

Their next goal for now was to organize an effective form of transportation.
