Just before Jake could take in everything that occurred, a sudden knock threw all questions out. "Hello, anyone at home? I'm just wondering if anyone is there, and if there are, are you all right? The scream last night must have been really painful, are they alright?" A small, pudgy furball waddles across the doorway, evidently concerned about the torturous scream last night. "No need Mr. Foors, it was just me playing the latest 'Knightmare In Zwargoth'. It is the latest in the series, and by far the scariest one so far." Trying his best to withhold any sweat that might come from his forehead, Jake kindly explains the 'source' of last night's howling.
Still skeptical, Mr. Foors just squints his eyes, before realizing that it is probably true, turns around and leaves. "Kids and their new fangled devices and whatnot. Back in my day we used to..." Mumbling bitterly, the small furball waddles his way back out of the garden, and back home, the small mound two houses to the right of Jake's. As soon as his feet disappears, Jake breathes a sigh of relief, before jumping back in fear as a walking statue comes in front of him.
After realizing who it was, a sigh of relief escapes Jake, as Mr. Edward stands in front of the pathway, arms crossed. "Are you alright?" Soft whispers float across the air, before realizing that they carried concern across, something that Jake had only felt once long ago, back when he first came here. Feeling his heart soften, he decided to hear out what the old man had to say.
"Come with me to the garden, we shall have a... practice." Hesitating, old man Edward decided to roll with 'practice', as he evidently wanted to spar with Jake like in the old days. "Sure, why not?" And with that, Jake turned back to get his battle suit.
Thwack, thwack... oompf... ughh... blarh
A young man is seen jumping from the crossed out arms of an old man, evidently not flinching. In response, the arms flick the payload up high, reaching around 15 m in height, before the young man does a barrel roll, creating distance between him and his adversary. Wiping the slight blood trail from his lips, he prepares slightly before launching himself, punching from the right towards the opponent's left arm, which was soon caught.
But this was just a feint.
Just before the old man could comment, a sudden kick emerged from the ground, going straight towards his nether regions. In shock, the opponent, losing their composure slightly, unexpectedly inches forwards to stabilize himself, before realizing that it was also a feint. In position, the young man, using the arm and left leg as fulcrum, body drops the warrior into the ground, where the unconscious act of utilizing the earth element causes the young warrior to gather extra strength, punching consistently to immobilize the opponent and not give any time to counter-attack. This worked flawlessly, for 10 seconds that is.
Using strength from God knows where, he lifts himself from the ground, dragging the young boy up with him. Stupefied, the young warrior forgets to let go of his opponent, causing the instructor to lift up the young student, grabbing him by his shirt, and striking him down repeatedly, like a hammer on a rock. Disorientated, Jake lets go of his hand, before Edward grabs him, and does a chokehold. Feeling himself getting giddy ever so slowly, he quickly taps out, yelling "Uncle, uncle."
Seeing the surrender, Edward releases the boy, where he attempts yet another kick towards his head, only to get whipped into the ground again.
Thoroughly defeated, Jake just lies on the ground, panting wildly from the heat and exhaustion. "Old man, I thought you were supposed to go easy on me, you nearly killed me!" From the corner of his eyes, where the old man was drinking cold water from his water bottle, replied smugly "With what you just did, I thought it was an apt punishment. Anyways, how on earth did you do that, mobilizing the earth attribute like that today?"
