ATHENA
It's been two days since the incident at Hector's penthouse. During these two days, a tinted black car has kept guard outside my home day and night. I used to think Hector sent his men to keep an eye on me, but a few hours ago, I just… felt him.
I don't know how to explain it. The feeling was like a burning sensation underneath my skin, alerting me of his presence. Sure enough, when I peeked outside, there he was pacing just under my window, looking distraught and frustrated.
The moment I placed my fingers on the glass, he looked up and our gaze clashed and held for a few electrifying seconds. For a moment, the world fell away and all I saw was him.
He didn't do anything else. Just stood there and stared at me.
There and then, I realized that the heated feeling in my chest wasn't anger alone. Something else was there. Something dangerous.
