TWO DAYS LATER
Tomorrow is Raul and Delilah's wedding and today is the day I finally get to meet the blushing bride.
After that heart-wrenching night with Hector, I woke up alone in bed the next morning. There was hot water waiting for me in the bathroom, my favourite white roses in the kitchen and breakfast already simmering on the dining table by the time I woke up.
Also, there was a note from him informing me that he had a meeting with the leaders of the White Dragon Pack and won't be back until midnight.
I have no idea if he ever returned because my staff and I were busy throughout the day with preparations for the bride's dress, but I remember feeling watched while we worked in the conference room around midnight.
When I looked up, whoever was watching me had disappeared.
I ended up falling asleep in the conference room. There was a painful twinge in my heart when I woke up this morning with no missed calls from Hector.
