"Sir, won't you wait for Dr. Reus? He wanted to check on you personally before you leave the hospital."
Wincing slightly, I shove my arms into the sleeves of my shirt and give Davina a dark stare.
"I can always see Dr. Reus later. Athena cannot wait. I'm leaving immediately."
Besides, Dr. Reus is very much aware of the real reason I collapsed, but he still stood aside and watched them accuse an innocent Athena. I know he doesn't trust her, but that doesn't give him the right to treat her like trash. He has crossed the line this time. I will no longer tolerate this.
The moment I walk past the door of my ward, Jasmine literally jumps on me, her eyes wet with tears.
"Where is she! What have you done to her, you monster! Where is she!"
My throat tightens with guilt as I stand aside and watch my guards pull her away.
"This is all my fault." I admit. "But I'll fix it. I'll fix everything."
