[The Precinct]
Chief Harris paced back and forth in his office, his face filled with anguish. Detective Larson stood by his side, holding the documents in her hands. The specialist had just left, leaving behind a chilling revelation.
"Sir! Chief Harris!" Larson's voice cut through the tension. "Snap out of it. There's no point in thinking about what-ifs and buts - what's done is done. Roberts needs to be stopped. I'm hurt too - he was my partner this whole time, and I didn't see anything," she said, her voice trembling with emotion.
Chief Harris, still in shock, stared blankly at the floor. "I never thought it would come to this, Larson. Roberts... he was one of our best. How could he betray us like this?"
Detective Larson's eyes were fierce. "He's a monster, Chief. He used his position, our trust, to hide his crimes. But we can't afford to dwell on how he deceived us. We have to focus on the here and now - saving other victims before he gets to them."
