In the chamber, the atmosphere was hushed, punctuated by the soft rustling of curtains that billowed in the gentle breeze. Rhaenyra cradled the newborn Malaevor in her arms, his small form nestled securely against her chest.
The door to the chamber creaked open, and Viserys Targaryen entered, a warm smile gracing his lips. His presence was a testament to the joy and celebration that had spread throughout the Red Keep.
Viserys approached the couple with a look of genuine happiness. "I heard that the birth was successful," he said, his voice laced with excitement.
Rhaenyra nodded, her eyes reflecting her own joy. "Yes, he's a healthy boy."
Visery's eyes sparkled as he extended his arms. "May I hold him?"
Rhaenyra met his gaze and carefully handed Malaevor to Viserys. Viserys cradled the baby with the tenderness that comes from a deep understanding of the significance of the moment.
In the hush of the chamber, Viserys began to rock the infant in his arms, his expression one of pure delight.
After a few moments of content silence, Viserys turned to Rhaenyra and William. "Have you decided on a name yet?"
William smiled warmly, his eyes never leaving his son's face. "Yes, we have decided on the name Malaevor."
Viserys looked at the baby in his arms, his voice soft and full of approval. "A fitting name."
He then began to praise the baby's features. "Look at this silver hair" he said, his fingers gently brushing Malaevor's few strands of hair. "A hair that befits a Targaryen prince." His words were followed by a genuine and proud smile. It seemed he was happy that his daughter had given birth. "And those striking blue eyes, an eye color common for the Baratheons."
Meanwhile, beside Viserys, a voice emerged. Alicent Hightower who had entered the room and stood beside Viserys who was rocking the baby, then said:
"Congratulations, Rhaenyra and William," Alicent said. "He's a beautiful child."
Rhaenyra and William exchanged a glance, Rhaenyra spoke first. "Thank you, Your grace."
Malaevor was then passed from Viserys to Rhaenyra.
Then Viserys spoke: "You must be tired after giving birth."
William who was on the side then spoke: "I'm sure she is" As he got a cushion from the side and placed it behind her back.
"Then we'll leave you to rest." Viserys replied, as he and Alicent exited the room. Leaving Rhanerya and William alone in the room
