It was morning, a very cold morning to be well precised, due to the snow of yesterday night.
Somewhere in the vast land of Sunria kingdom. In a very exquisite, and spacy room with multiple shelves in it, which appeared more like a luxurious study room. Two people could be seen presently dwelling there.
The first person was a stunning looking man with orange hairs who looked as though he would still be in his late twenties. His orange eyeballs were as keen as that of an eagle.
His perfectly sculpted nose, smooth jawlines and delicate lips soothed his charming facials more than ever, as he stared forward with a curt smile forming on his delicate lips showing his one-sided dimple, at the old woman before him.
The attractive man was wearing a golden crown on his head. And an extremely neat attire which looked and screamed of nothing but royalty on his possessive frame.
Meanwhile the old lady doesn't really appeared that old. But one could still tell that she wasn't young either. Her face appeared slightly wrinkled, and all the strands of hairs on her head were overly white. Her eyes had no eyeballs in them, instead they only had the color white all through also. As she smiled back sweetly at the attractive man, whilst playing a zither for him.
The man was sitted firmly on a golden chair which looked like a throne, and before him was a golden table also matching the chair.
Carrying the glass cup of wine from the table into his hand, he sipped it to his satisfaction.
Placing his cup back onto the table, the attractive man continued looking forth at the old woman before him calmly;
"Daphne. Indeed no one else in this whole kingdom knows me better than you do," the attractive man praised, with his former smile still decorating his delicate lips. "Knowing how much tension have been going through my head lately about not being able to solve the case of those missing people. You've decided to play the zither for me today. Thank you. And I must say, you play wonderfully."
Daphne's earlier smile widened hearing the attractive man gloriously praising her.
"The pleasure is all mine King Axel. I will always be at your service. And I'll always be here to do anything that would make you happy and satisfied, Your Majesty," Daphne stated genuinely, showcasing a courteous bow, whilst still playing the tiny strings on the large square shaped zither amazingly.
"Your Majesty, does your nightmare still happens?"
"Oh that… I haven't been having it lately thanks to the incense you occasionally burn for me every night before I go to sleep. But I doubt that such a nightmare that has haunted me for years would stop that easily," Axel said with a worried expression.
"Me too, Your Majesty. But I also doubt that there isn't any problem that doesn't have a solution in this world. So please cheer up, Your Majesty," Daphne smiled. Lifting Axel's hopes up.
And Axel smiled back. Then began pondering about something deeply, when all of a sudden the pure smile on his delicate lips faded away without a trace.
But of course, this didn't go unnoticed by his royal Seer, Daphne. Seeing the discomforted expression on Axel's face.
"Your Majesty. If I may ask. What burdens your thought? Is it still about the strange nightmares?"
Sipping his wine, then afterwards, "No Daphne. There's something else I don't understand. Which has also been bothering me lately too."
"Oh is that so…? Your Majesty, please enlighten me about anything that has been bothering you. Perhaps I could be of some help to you in any way possible."
"Daphne what I don't understand is that, weren't you the one who told me that your visions told you that I wasn't destined to have a bride of my own in my entire lifetime?"
"Yes Your Majesty. I did say that. And please trust me Your Majesty, I would never lie to you."
"I know you would never lie to me, Daphne. Even if the whole world lies to me, I know you would never. You're the one who saved me, and I won't be where I am today without you. So I trust you more than anybody in this whole world. I'm just curious to understand some confusing things, that's all, you see…" Axel explained. Adjusting his golden crown much more properly on his head.
He continued, "However Daphne. Now you're also the one insisting that your vision also told you that I should marry Princess Cassandra Hudson. Thinking about it clearly, that doesn't really make any sense in my perspective, if I'm being honest with you."
Daphne made a short chuckle.
"I know that my visions can be somehow complicated sometimes. But Your Majesty, please trust the process. And don't encumber yourself with unnecessary stress. Everything will make sense to you sooner or later, I assure you."
"I really hope so Daphne. Because some of the people are already starting to question me that although I'm aware of the abduction of multiple young ladies in the land, but instead of working on the case with my subordinates, I'm planning to get married instead," Axel layed down his displeasure.
"You don't have to worry Your Majesty. Everything will go as planned. And as you already know, even Princess Cassandra isn't your true bride. But through her, you will meet your true bride on your wedding day, Your Majesty."
Wiggling his head, Axel scoffed. "Your visions never makes any sense to me until it's followed. And everytime, your visions are always becoming even more and more complicated the more you try to make me understand it clearly."
Lowering her head, "My apologies Your Majesty. For my visions are indeed always complicated."
"Stop Daphne. Don't apologize. I trust you. I know that ruling this kingdom wouldn't have been possible for me without those complicated vision of yours. If possible, then I should be the one apologizing for being ungrateful about your visions."
"No Your Majesty. Under any circumstances, you don't need to ever apologize to me. It's my greatest pleasure serving you. And I hope that I would be able to serve you for long," Daphne uttered with a prudence smile.
Still smoothly playing the zither, and not letting her talks disturb her playing state.
Axel continued sipping his wine blissfully. At least not until a firm knock could be heard on the closed door in some end of the study.
"Come in!" Axel commanded. And with that said, the knock stopped and someone stepped in.
It was a Knight, dressed in fine, and shiny armor. Clenching a sword which was neatly placed in its sheath in one of his hands. His face held a stern appearance, as though something serious and something bothersome was on his mind.
Both Axel and Daphne stared at him expectantly. Even Daphne had stopped playing the zither.
The Knight came forward into the room with agility. He made a trivial bow, firstly towards Axel, and then secondly towards Daphne.
"Greetings Your Majesty, Mistress. We have information about the multiple young ladies who went missing from our kingdom," the Knight who looked to be in his thirties, and who was also King Axel's most loyal and most trusted Knight stated.
Upon hearing this Axel and Daphne glanced at eachother.
"Desmond, make yourself clear," Axel ordered.
"Your Majesty. We found out from one of our loyal informants that all those young ladies that were abducted from our land are being taken to a frigid kingdom very far away from here, called Lunaria. Which is also ruled by a King named Yehuda Simon Everest."
"We got this scroll not too long ago Your Majesty. Everything that I've just said have been written down there already by the informant who sent it to us," Knight Desmond stated.
Showing King Axel the scroll in his left hand.
"Bring it to me Desmond," Axel ordered with a serious face, and almost immediately the Knight did as he was told.
"Here you go, Your Majesty," Desmond handed the scroll over to Axel with a slight bow, and stepped backwards too almost immediately. Knowing that he mustn't stay too close to the King without his permission or else he might get reprimanded by him.
"Is there anything else, Desmond?"
"No Your Majesty, that's all there is," the knight confirmed.
"Well then, you may leave," Axel ordered. Not even looking at Desmond, as he was busy opening the scroll which he had just received.
"Will do, Your Majesty," Desmond obeyed. Bowing slightly to both Axel and Daphne. He instantaneously scurried towards the door, closing it from behind, he left the duo.
Daphne looked towards Axel, "Your Majesty. You know what that means?"
A frown manifested upon Axel's attractive face. Knowing what Daphne meant by the question. Furrowing his eyebrows.
"War!" He replied.
