Upon percepting both Noelle and Westley sitting opposite eachother. Madam Danielle guessed that they must've been having a discussion, perhaps about the old-times.
"I see you two have already met eachother," Madam Danielle said with the most delicate smile, seeing how two childhood best friend had now reunited.
Looking at Madam Danielle with those youthful eyes of hers, "Yes, Madam Danielle, we sure have," Noelle smiled back. Eventually glancing at Westley, giving him a hard glare which went unnoticed by Madam Danielle.
Ignoring Noelle's hard glares, "Welcome back mother," Westley greeted his dear mother back with a warm smile as he gazed at her.
Madam Danielle moved closer to Westley, and she patted his head affectionately. "I'm glad you two have finally met eachother. Alright my son, the both of you can continue with your discussion like before. I'll be in the kitchen to prepare something for us to eat, okay?"
"Okay," Westley replied.
"Madam Danielle let me come with you. I'll help you in the kitchen," Noelle decided. Already getting up from where she was sitted to accompany Madam Danielle. But she was soon refused by Madam Danielle;
"No my dear. Stay here, it's alright I can handle everything perfectly in the kitchen. Stay here and continue your discussions. I'm sure you two must have a lot to catch-up on."
"Alright… if you insist," Noelle agreed. Besides, she still had some things to ask Westley about.
That being said, Madam Danielle walked away from the living room and into the kitchen. Leaving both Westley and Noelle alone to bicker as before, although she wasn't aware they were bickering. Notwithstanding she knew they were discussing something beforehand, which she must've interrupted.
Perceiving Madam Danielle's absence.
Noelle turned her gaze back to Westley.
"You aren't going to go back on your words, now are you?" The mermaid's alluring voice sounded.
"Of course I won't," Westley assured, straightening his brown hairs which had been slightly scattered by Madam Danielle who patted it earlier before going. "I won't go back on my words."
"And by the way, Noelle why do you want to work in King Axel's castle anyways. Are you planning something? I suspect you are."
"No I'm not," she lied.
She had already vowed to herself that she would never ever tell anyone about her plan to avenge her decease families. It was something she decided on her own, thus she was also going to accomplish it on her own too.
Glaring significantly at Noelle, "I don't believe you. Tell me the truth Noelle, what are you really planning? I know you're definitely hiding something from me."
"I've told you already. I'm not planning anything, neither am I hiding anything from you. Believe me, I just feel as though if I get a job there, then they would pay me properly unlike anywhere else."
Obviously Westley wasn't buying Noelle's unlawful lies. He believed that there was more to Noelle's reasons for wanting to work in the castle. But what could he simply do when this little brat sister of his was unwilling to compromise.
"Alright then. You won Noelle," the young brown-haired man said defeatedly. "I just want you to know that although King Axel has been very good to the people. He is also still a very ruthless man. So don't mess with him. And stay away from trouble."
"I sure will," Noelle said agilely. "Now tell me Westley how are you going to help me out with it?"
Giving it a thorough thought, "I'll ask a few friends of mine for help, and we would all see what we can do about the situation. But I can't assure you of anything yet. So don't keep your hopes too high."
A million dollar smile instantaneously manifested upon the beautiful mermaid's voluptuous lips.
"Thank you! Thank you! You're such a kind-hearted big brother! I knew you would never refuse your adorable little sister." Noelle praised meekly. Looking like an innocent little duckling.
"Whatever," Westley disregarded Noelle's words with an accurate frown. "I'm still not in support of this!"
Noelle frowned childishly, "You're no fun at all!"
"Noelle, you call that fun?! You're literally messing with fire, and you know that if you mess with fire you will surely get burnt," Westley scoffed.
"I get it! I get it! You wouldn't be able to change my mind anyways no matter how much you scold me."
"Screw this! You're so impossible Noelle!" Westley sighed.
Noelle smirked sideways sinisterly, "I know I am Westley. I know I am."
…
By evening they all had their supper which was made by Madam Danielle of course, at the small dining which was just few steps away from the living room.
Walking amidst the obscure passageway with a latern in her hand was Madam Danielle, and beside her was Noelle gripping her bag of luggage firmly.
Reaching a particular door. The both of them stopped, opening it they went in.
"Here's your room my dear. You'll be sleeping in here from now on," Madam Danielle pointed out.
"Alright, thank you," Noelle nodded. Glancing closely around the room. She smiled realizing something. "This is also exactly the room I use to stay in back then whenever I came to visit you."
Touching Noelle's cheeks, "I know my dear. Remember, you often even usually run out of the room at night saying you don't want to sleep alone. That you were scared, and instead you want to sleep with me in my room."
Noelle chortled.
"Yes I do remember."
"My child, you must be quite tired after such an arduous journey to Tyraneus. Please sleep and have some rest, alright?" Madam Danielle prompted.
"Alright, sure," the young lady replied with a bright smile, which made Madam Danielle satisfied.
Noelle watched as Madam Danielle left the room and closed the door behind her.
Placing her bag of luggage down to the wooden floor. Although the room was obscure, however with the help of the lantern which was already litted up in the room. Noelle could see, although not clearly, but enough to find her bed.
She then layed on the bed and covered herself with the blanket due to the coldness. As it had already started snowing just as expected.
Noelle slept off almost immediately after laying herself down. Simply because she was indeed completely haggard.
