"War" and "Wind" both approached the professor's base, which was a gigantic fortress made of solid metal and housed some of the universe's most advanced technology.
"Knock knock doc, let us in!" "War" said with a grin as he grabbed the door and ripped the front of the building off completely.
"Do you always have to make such a dramatic entrance?" "Wind" asked.
"What do you mean? I just opened the door, it's not my fault it tore apart. It must be shoddy craftsmanship." "War" replied with a hearty chuckle.
"I assure you there was no issue with the craftsmanship. The issue was your unruly entry." A voice said from the far side of the room. The two of them turned to see who was speaking.

"I doubt two superstars such as yourselves would know about me but we used to be on the same side." Earn said.
"I've heard of you, you used to be captain of an elite War Festival team called the Haunted Hunters. Your name at the time was "Fear" if I recall correctly." "Wind" said.
"I'm surprised and flattered, that someone of your stature has heard of me." Earn said.
"Well I've never heard of you. And I don't care who you are either. "Wind" I'm going to get the doctor and get this over with. Take care of this chump, OK?" "War" said as he rushed forward.
"Do you really think I'd just let you go?" Earn said, but as he did he was knocked down by a gust of wind.
"Sorry, but you'll have to deal with me. You're a bad match up with him anyway. You might have a better chance against me." "Wind" said.
Earn's ability allows him to project mental images of his target's worst fears. Often crippling his opponents with fear, making them easy targets for his attacks.
"I'm sure that I wouldn't have much of a chance to defeat either of you, even using my ability." Earn said earnestly. "Though I was hoping I could keep the two of you busy while the professor prepared his masterpiece."
"And exactly what that be?" "Wind" asked inquisitively.
"Oh don't worry about that. Even if I told you, you won't be alive long enough for it to make a difference." Earn said confidently.
"That's some confidence for a man who just a second ago admitted that he wasn't strong enough to defeat me. How are you planning on killing me?" "Wind" asked.
"It won't make a difference whether I defeat you or not. You'll die all the same." Earn said while grabbing a syringe from his jacket pocket. "I've actually held a grudge against you and your comrades for a while now. Do you know why?"
"I know what he's referring to. Considering what happened to him it's not all that surprising that he ended up here. Still he's obviously only bringing it up as a way to distract me and stall for time. I don't know what's in that syringe but I should take him out as quickly as possible." "Wind" thought.
The incident the "Wind" was referring to was the execution of Earn's former team. His team had won their War Festival but one of his teammates had died of the wounds that he had suffered in his battle. According to High Command this muddled the line between winning and losing, therefore they would all be executed. Earn felt that their execution was unjustified, and of course it was High Command for some reason or another was looking for an excuse to have them killed.
Earn had managed to escape his execution, but all of his comrades and his family had been killed. Ever since that day he had vowed to slaughter as many Imperials as possible to get his revenge. His grudge against the 7 Elements comes from the fact that one of their members had actually been defeated and because "War" was favored by the Emperor they had avoided their execution.
"Wind" hit Earn with a heavy gust of wind that knocked him down, unfortunately he had already injected himself with the syringe as he was being attacked by "Wind".
After he injected himself, Earn's skin began to shift and bulge as he started to transform into a monster as he grew and ripped through his clothes. With this monstrous transformation, came a monstrous increase in his power. With his new found power he rushed towards "Wind".
As he dodged Earn's attacks, "Wind" thought to himself, "There's more information I was hoping to get out of him, but in his current state I don't believe he will be too talkative."
Earn continued to attack in a frenzy, and "Wind" continued to dodge him easily. "He definitely, has gotten a lot stronger, if this was the me from two years ago I'd definitely be struggling. But unfortunately that is not the case."
Perfect Airspace!!!
Suddenly Earn was completely immobilized and he wildly struggled to free himself, but to no avail. If he still had the capacity to reason in that state, he would wonder why he had suddenly become unable to move.
The answer to that was "Wind's" Perfect Airspace which gave him all the benefit of his Airspace technique with the added bonus of immobilizing his opponent in a heavy air pressure.
"Oh well, it's time to finish this." "Wind" said while waving his hand.
Void Blade!!!!!
A vacuum blade slashed through Earn, beheading him. After he had been killed by "Wind", Earn had changed back in to his normal form.
"You carried a deep hatred in your heart, you had enough of a hunger for revenge that you even let the professor turn you into a monster in return for power. But I'll tell you something, your search for vengeance was a poison in your heart. Your desperate attempt at grabbing that vengeance and that power, were both useless in the end. What a pity." "Wind" said as he looked down on Earn's corpse before walking away to catch back up with "War".
Meanwhile, "War" had finally caught the man who started this whole incident. Dr. Branx.
