"War's" son Toro II was born shortly after his marriage two years ago. He had dark blue hair and was significantly larger than most children his age. Although "War" himself had his name taken away by the Empire, his wife and children could still take his former name.
"Well if it isn't little Toro Jr.! Come to papa boy!" "War" said as he scooped his son up into his arms. "You've been getting big haven't you?"
"Papapapapa!" The toddler said excitedly as he flexed his arms.
"Oh? I see you want to show me your muscles. Very impressive son, you'll be a strong warrior someday." "War" said as he put his son down and patted him on the head. "Are all the men gathered?" He asked to Toudou who was standing outside the conference room.
"Yes my lord. The rest of the 7 Elements, as well as your other auxiliary members and lieutenants are all gathered." Toudou replied.
"Good, let's get started then." "War" said as he pushed open the doors. "Alright men, we have some important information to discuss. I think it's finally time for us to get started."
"I don't know about that Captain. I think we still need more time to prepare." "Wind" said.
"Nah forget that. If we're not ready now we'll never be." "Fire" responded.
"You both have a point, but we're in a situation where it doesn't matter if we're ready or not we have to act now." "War" said.
"Why do you say that?" "Wind" asked.
"When I'd confronted the professor, he mentioned that he knew about our plans to fight against High Command. If he knew about it, then it's safe to assume that High Command themselves already know as well." "War" replied.
"I see, then we have no choice but to try and act before they do." "Wind" said.
"Exactly, I know this probably feels awkward for everyone. We've stopped many rebellions over the years, and now we're planning one of our own. Not only that but we all took an oath to fight for the Empire. It was an oath we were forced to make but we made it all the same, and now we are set to fight against the Emperor and High Command." "War" said as he looked on his men.
"But our oath was not to High Command or even the Emperor himself. Our oath was to the Empire, and the people within it. We have a duty to protect the people from the tyrannical rule of High Command. So have no doubts! Your cause is the right one! This is not a betrayal but a necessary step to ensure peace, not only in the Empire but in the entire universe!"
"Hooah! Hooah! Hooah!" His men cheered in response.
"Now is the time we cast reclaim our freedom! And the first step to that is reclaiming the names that High Command took away. So today I stand before you not as the Warrior known as "War", I come here as the man named Toro Fernandez!" Toro said as his men began to cheer again.
A ceremony was then held to officially crown Toro as the King of Vercheg. As the crown was placed upon his head he turned towards the people that were in attendance. "I thank you all for entrusting me with this honor. Though I promise that I will only hold this crown for as long as it takes to defeat the Empire. I will now call for my allies to rise up and join me in ending this era of war and oppression that High Command has spread for centuries, and help me to usher in a new era of peace and freedom! Now tell me mighty men of Vercheg, will you fight with me?"
"Hooah!!!!!"
Toro and the others had been secretly gathering allies in their fight against the Empire, including many of the adversaries they had faced over the years. They had also gained the support of the Vandal Coalition forces from the last war. In addition, they had also convinced many of the planets that had still remained unconquered by the Empire to join their cause. In all their new coalition forces included over 300 planets and had the military strength of an 800 billion man army. It the largest army that had ever been raised against the Empire, though they were still out numbered.
The first move Toro made was to challenge the Emperor to a War Festival. If the Emperor received the challenge there's no way he wouldn't accept. However if High Command intercepted it first it's hard to guess whether they would accept it or not. It goes without saying that they would be confident that they would win either way, but it's clear that a conventional military victory would be far more difficult for us to accomplish. Therefore, they may choose the safer route for themselves and just choose to crush our armies outright.
As the coalition forces were preparing their armies to set out, Victoria had given birth to her and Toro's second child. "I'm glad to see you two before I had to set out. It's one less thing I have to worry about." Toro said.
"Do you have a name for him?" Victoria asked clearly exhausted.
"I named our first son after me because I wanted him to charge down the same path as me. But maybe you should aim higher than me son. I'll name you Aguila, soar higher than I could ever go." Toro said as he held his son up. "I wish I could stay with you two longer but the army is almost ready to move out and time is of the essence."
"Don't worry about us. Just go do your duty." She said as she took the baby back. Toro then kissed her on the forehead and brushed his fingers through her hair. "I wish good fortune in battle my love."
As Toro had predicted, High Command refused to answer his challenge for a War Festival. Therefore his only path to victory was to go to the capital and bring the challenge to the Emperor directly. With that goal in mind, he mobilized all his forces and set course directly for Lakashia.
