Chapter 3 - I’m awesome.

Azrath was generally a pretty talkative motherfucker. But, since the carriage had started heading towards the royal palace, he hadn't spoken a single word, not one. For one reason and one reason only, he was speechless. And for good reason too, nobody walks through life expecting to find a book that tells the future and when they find out the book tells the future, it just disappears.

So, after the bomb drop, Az told the guards and went to find the book that told the future, only to find out that it had disappeared. So, Az wasn't particularly happy. And he was also trying to figure out what to do now. Actually, the only problem he had was figuring out how one could escape from the royal palace.

He could pretty much survive for 18 years just doing his thing, but the problem was what to do after that. Az stopped thinking about that topic as he believed he probably could make a better plan on how to escape after knowing the structure of the palace.

Az, after a full hour of deep thought (sulking), came to terms with the fact that he was a bastard prince who was destined to die at the age of 18 and decided to look at the positive, he knew about it earlier, so he could make a plan to avoid his death.

He was kinda sad to leave his friends behind, but overall, being a prince was logically a good thing. That's what he told himself to calm himself down at least.

"Hey. How much more time till we reach the palace." Az looked out the carriage and asked.

"About 2 more hours, your highness." The guard replied.

~Two hours later~

Az, who was looking outside of the carriage, was blessed with a very beautiful scenery. The capital city of Atsolaes, Darmil, was probably the most beautiful city he had ever seen. Children's laughter and smiling faces greeted him as he looked outside the carriage. What was even more beautiful was the huge palace that seemed to be about 500 meters away from where they were, the royal palace.

Painted in a beautiful combination of blue, golden and silver, the castle that seemed to be almost 200 meters tall was enough to make any person hold their face in awe.

Azrath, however, knew he shouldn't be deceived by the outer beauty of the city. He had heard firsthand from one of his friends who had moved from the capital city that while the outer face of Darmil made it look like the most beautiful city ever created, the slums and the underground were the most ruthless, disgusting, and terrifying to ever be created.

Soon, the carriage reached the gate of the royal palace, and as the gates opened, Az realized that if the palace looked amazing from afar, when you looked at it from nearer, it was the closest scene one could have to paradise.

Azrath was greeted with a beautiful fountain and then a statue of Leonard Dragonhart, the very first king of atsolaes. The building was surrounded by a beautiful garden, full of the most beautiful flowers in the world.

As Azrath got out of the carriage, he was met by the scene of a butler bowing down to him. "Your highness, his majesty is waiting for you in the throne room. Please follow me."

Az nodded and followed him. As Azrath walked through the insides of the palace, he realized that the insides of the palace were just as impressive as the outsides.

Soon, they stopped in front of a room with a door that was 4 meters tall. The butler silently stood there and after a while the door opened. On the other side of the room, there was a man with blue hair and green eyes who looked to be in his early thirties. He was quite good-looking, but not necessarily someone who would make an impression on someone just because of his looks.

However, Az knew better to judge someone by their looks. After all, while the other noble titles like count, duke, baron, and whatnot were passed down within a bloodline from generation to generation, the king was the strongest person in Atsolaes.

It didn't matter where one was born from, what gender they were, how old they were, nothing, the strongest was the ruler. Nothing more, nothing less.

Aliser Alikerth was the man who became the 1st non-dragon king of Atsolaes in 2 million years, being of phoenix blood. He wasn't someone to be underestimated.

"Your majesty." He gave a bow. This king's eyes, however, remained expressionless as not a single word escaped his lips.

Instead, he snapped his fingers. As he did so, a woman having 2 cat ears that was beside him stepped forward, holding what seemed to be a magical orb. Az recognized what it was, an aura orb, used to measure the potential of a person in the path of aura training.

The woman stopped as she reached in front of him and smiled. "Please put your hand on this orb, your highness."

Az did as she said, and soon the color of the orb started changing, first it was blue, then it changed to green, then purple, red, black, golden, rainbow, then a combination of gold, black, and silver combined and finally turned colorless.

Azrath was confused, not knowing what this meant, but looking at the expressions of everybody around him, which was an expression and even saw the eyes of the emperor gleaming a little, Az concluded that it was a good thing.

Meanwhile, the king snapped his finger once again. This time another woman beside him stepped forward, this one holding a large scale that didn't look like it was anything special, just a regular wooden scale that reached up to level 15. The woman stopped in front of Az and the scale started floating towards Az.

Az knew what it was though, a magic scale to measure one's magical potential.

"Please grab the scale, your highness." The woman said.

Az did as she said so, and as he did so, the scale vanished into thin air as a number appeared in front of Azrath, well calling it a number wouldn't be right, infinity, that was the symbol in front of Azrath.

This time, even the king had a shocked expression on his face. However, after some time, the expression disappeared, and he started to laugh.

Az looked at this scene and only one thought came to his mind, "Damn..., I'm awesome, aren't I?"

After a while, the king stopped laughing and started, "Good, good, finally a worthy offspring. Azrath, that was your name, right?"

"Indeed, your majesty." Az replied.

The king nodded. "Good, you shall make me proud. I might have not been able to surpass that motherfucker, but it seems that one who has my blood in him might have a chance."

Az was thinking something else though. "Damn, motherfucker must have been pretty enraged when he found out that I was more related to the one he's trying to make me surpass than him."

How could Az not know who the man was talking about? Asura Bloodfallen, the previous king, father of his mother, Diana Bloodfallen, and his grandfather. He also knew why the king, Aliser Alikerth, wanted Az to surpass the previous king.

The king had quite a secret he was hiding. He, who was always inferior in talent to the previous king, had made a deal with the very one that killed the previous king. The contract stated this:

Aliser Alikerth, if he raises someone who has his blood running their veins to be more powerful than Asura Bloodfallen, I, *&**^&91, shall help him switch bodies with the one that he raised to be stronger than his rival, on the condition that he swear eternal servitude to me.

The *&**^&91 in question was the very one, who killed Asura Bloodfallen, their name too complicated for most people to even comprehend, hence most people calling him simply, 'Blank'.

As he was thinking all this, the king spoke, "Sebas."

"Yes, your majesty." The butler spoke.

"He shall stay in Golden Crown palace. Assign about 20 maids to the palace. Have him take aura training classes for 5 hours and magic classes for 5 more. Then make him take theory classes for 2 hours. Everyday." Aliser commanded.

The butler replied, "Yes, your majesty."

Aliser spoke again, "You make take your leave."

The butler gave a bow and turned to Az. "Please follow me, your majesty."

Az nodded and followed him. As they exited the throne room, the door to the room closed. After a few minutes of walking, an angelic voice rang out. "Stop."

Both Az and Sebas turned towards the direction from which the voice came. They were greeted by a beautiful woman walking towards them.

The woman had red hair and blue eyes, just like Az himself. She had a slim waist and an overall sinful figure that would make the purest men drool like a bunch of dogs. Her slender and long legs looking sexy enough that the most confident women would hide their legs in shame.

She had perfect facial harmony, with a small nose and pink, juicy looking lips. A smile on such a beautiful face was enough to make the hearts of all beings in the world flutter. Her skin was flawless, not a single pore, spot or anything like that visible anywhere.

"Your majesty." Sebas bowed down as soon as he saw her.

The woman was Diana Bloodfallen, the 2nd queen, one of the greatest magicians alive, and the mother of Azrath Bloodfallen. She smiled at Sebas and asked, "May I have a word alone with my son?"

Sebas nodded. As he did so, Diana snapped her fingers and Az found himself in a beautiful meadow. He looked around and around 20m away saw a woman drinking tea under a huge umbrella. Infront of her, there was a round table and another chair, presumably for himself.

Az walked towards where the woman was seated. When he reached near the place where she was seated, Diana turned towards him with a smile and spoke, "Take a seat, my son."

 ...…To be continued

Yo, people. What's up? First things first, I'm sorry if you are finding the pacing so far very slow. It's because I'm trying to throw in some important information early on so that I don't have to do a sudden information dump later. It'll be better after the first, like 10 chapters.

Also, I'm here to disappoint some of my degenerates that there won't be any incest with his mother. I just want to write a pure mother-son relationship between them. Sorry if I disappointed some of you guys.

Anyway, peace out.
