I stood there, trying to process everything that had happened. The officer's words echoed in my mind, "The blackout group won't hesitate to hurt you if they think you're a threat." I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized the gravity of the situation.
The officer handed me a form to fill out, and I began to write down everything I knew about Damian and James' disappearance. As I wrote, I couldn't help but think about all the what-ifs. What if I had been more careful? What if I had stayed with them?
As I finished the form, the officer took it from me and began to scan it. "We'll do everything we can to find your friends," he repeated. "But in the meantime, I need you to be careful. Don't go anywhere alone, and don't talk to anyone about this case."
I nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. I was going to find Damian and James, no matter what it took.
