Chapter 2 - [Chapter 2 - Proper Enrollment]

The green gates guarding the school of stone slowly opened up, sliding backwards like a beast opening it's maw.

'Strange, how do these gates work? There's no one nearby.. ki manipulation? Judging by the mechanism's material, it most likely is. This type of metal is a good conductor for ki. This is most likely a choice made not just for simple convenience, but for when the school needs to go into lockdown. It can be reinforced to be made stronger, and is the same mechanism that most knights use to strengthen their swords in battle.'

Sigh

'My life would have been so much easier had I been able to perform things like that.'

As Tre stepped forward into the premises of the school, the gate scraped the ground behind him, closing back up. A man donned in a coal black suit appeared in front of him, exiting out of one of the school's front exits that faced the gate.

The man looked at Tre carefully, as if examining his worth on the spot.

"I don't recognise you. Are you a new student?"

Tre looked at the man, slightly surprised, but didn't show it on his face. Tre turned back behind him, expecting Lloyd to still be back there so he can explain on his behalf, but, he had already left.

'Of course that old fool didn't prepare for me. That whole speech he went on about me experiencing life..'

"Yeah. I'm here on a recommendation of a.. soldier."

Tre knew what he said sounded dumb, but he couldn't really word it any other way. Lloyd said he would send a the recommendation letter so that Tre could attend, but he seriously doubted a soldier of all people could get someone into an establishment of education. In the end, Tre ended up trusting Lloyd.

"A soldier? And who might this soldier be?"

The man responded in a neutral way, as if the boy's words could hold true.

"Lloyd. Lloyd Horn."

As those words left the boy's mouth, the man suddenly wore a surprised expression, his mouth left slighty agape, as if he had just been told a loved one had died.

"L-Lloyd Horn you say? I.. I see. You are the boy Lloyd personally recommended? I apologise if I seemed improper, but you came in wearing.. simple clothes, you see. I am professor Macqalaie, I'm pleased to meet you."

'Simple clothes, huh? I know how people like you think. I look poverty-stricken in your eyes, I get it. Besides that.. he seemed apprehensive for a moment.'

"Whatever, hi. My name's Tre."

The man's face twitched slighty at the response of Tre, but returned to normal as quickly as it changed.

"Well, Tre, the classes for today are starting soon, so I recommend just for today you don't go to class just yet but familiarise yourself with our beautiful school campus and all it's lovely students! Your dorm is A27. The number corresponds with the building, and the number corresponds with the floor. If you need anything from me, don't be afraid to ask! Anyway, I must be off now, I hope you find your experience here pleasant!"

The professor started to get enshrouded in a purple smoke, before disappearing into it, leaving nothing behind.

'Teleportation type ki technique? That's rather rare. Though, it's useless in a figh-'

Tre caught himself before he started thinking about it's uses in combat. He didn't need to fight anymore. All he had to do now was experience the.. teenage experience?

'Well, I got plenty of time on my hands, so I guess I should do some exploration. It's annoying I don't get a guide, but it's clear that professor macinsauce or whatever wanted nothing to do with me. Maybe I should have listened to Lloyd and got changed. Then again.. the freedom to do whateve I want is pretty tempting.'

Entering further onto the campus of the school, tall buildings of the same weathered grey stone stood erected above the ground. There weren't many buildings, most probably for dorms, but they were colossal in size.

Standing near Tre as he was admiring the monumental structures, stood a boy with green, short hair and a perfectly clean white suit. The suit had an emblem stitched on the left side of the suit, displaying flowers of some kind, and the words "Greenwall etiquette" in large, bold letters. The boy looked over at Tre, before spitting out;

"And who might you be?"

Tre glanced over at the young teen. This was the first conversation he was going to have with someone his age.

"What? Why do you wanna know? Keep your nose out of my business."

Tre reponded to the energy of the snot colour haired boy, uncaring of how others would perceive him. The boy looked slighty surprised, before grimacing.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to come of as rude. I won't pry. You're new, I suspect, though. If you want, I can show you around. I don't have anything to do today anyway, since I got suspended for a few days."

Tre looked over at the kid, raising an eyebrow.

'Suspended? It's the first day though??'

The corners of Tre's mouth curled upwards slighty, the thought of being suspended on the first day rather amusing. From the small knowledge of school Tre knows, you have to do something pretty bad to warrant that, especially in this playground of entitled losers.

"It's fine. And sure, I wouldn't mind a guide. I'm Tre."

The green haired boy smiled brighty.

"Well Tre, nice to meet you! My name's Guac!"

'Guac..? Like.. the food?'
