Izuku was floating in a void, he looked around. It was like he could process where he was, but he couldn't. It wasn't until he hears a voice start shouting quite energetically that he hadn't really zoned in properly.
"Hey there! Yoo-Hoo! You with the green hair! Yeah! Hey!" shouted the excited feminine voice.
Izuku struggles to move his hand upward, he couldn't speak as he feel he didn't like he had a mouth. But he didn't have to breathe... Where the hell was he?
"Oh damn. Looks like you're as familiar here as I am... Oh well! Everything's better with a player 2!" exclaims the excited voice. A greenish sort of flash occurs in the distance of what Izuku could see and what he does see in the distance thought is pretty surprising. It was a woman with long red hair walking towards him, she had red and blue overalls on, as well as white gloves and massive smile on her face. She jumps towards him and lands right in front of him. Izuku was spooked, that was an uncanny distance. "What's your name huh? How did you end up here?" she asks.
Izuku tries to talk but he can't. His speech is all muffled. The red haired woman tilts her head, poking at the greenish fog that seemed to be replacing his mouth in this weird place.
"Hmm... Well, looks like you can't talk. Oh! I know! Do you know sign language?" she asks enthusiastically.
Izuku tries to move his arms, he did know sign language but damn it! He couldn't move his arms either. What the heck was this?
"Can't even move huh? Well this is a hard level if I've ever seen it! Don't worry Emerald, I'm great at this sorta thing, trust me!" she says as she gently starts to walk around this void they happened to be in. She taps her foot as she stops. "So, if you can't talk, but I have full cognitive thought and speech... That means... Come on Andrea, think!"
Izuku's expression changes slightly, so this person was called Andrea and she seemed to be very perceptive of what was happening here. But her costume, it looked like a video game character... Had he finally cracked up?
"Gosh! Sorry, where are my manners" Andrea says as she gently takes a hole of Izuku's immovable hand and does a little bow. "Andrea Kratos, here to help! I go by Superstar; maybe you've heard of me! haha!" gleefully says Andrea. She seemed friendly enough to Izuku and was willing to help him. But where the hell were they?
"My quirk is-" Andrea's voice muffles out. Izuku was puzzled; she clears her throat and tries again. "I said... my quirk is- !" She looks annoyed as she looks upward and then around the void surrounding the pair of them. "Whoever's shutting me up before I can say- You're being really rude! OH! I know what this is now!" she shouts snapping her fingers. Izuku almost jumps out of his skin. "We're in some form of astral plain! Yeaht that's it! Ya know, like a dream level! You play video games right? I'm not sounding like a crazy person explaining all this?"
Izuku's head gently nods. Andrea looks confused.
"Wait... to understanding what I said?" she asks. Izuku nods his head. Causing Andrea to smile widely.
"Awesome!!! Okay, so chances are this is your astral plain considering you don't have full control of yourself yet. So the pressing question is... what am I doing here?" she inquires, fiddling with the button on her overalls. Izuku shrugs the one shoulder he can move as he tries to talk again, it being muffled out. This was so frustrating! "Well... I'll do some thinking I guess? Seems like I'm not going anywhere anytime soon! Good luck though new friend! I'll be rooting for you!" she shouts with a smile.
Izuku wonders what she was on about, but all of a suddden he feels that fog washing over his entire body and then as it moves up to his eyes he, jumps up in his bed. Looking around and composing himself, seeing that he was in the same side room where he'd been sleeping the last few days. He slowly moves his arm, at least he could use it again and pinches himself.
"Ow. Oh I can talk and move. Nice." he says to himself. But what the hell was all that? Andrea Kratos? Superstar? Hmm, she could've been a hero with that kind of costume. Izuku attracts his phone over from the table it happened to rest on for the night as he carefully types in 'Andrea Kratos - Superstar' into his phone's search engine... Nothing? Nothing at all on her? Damn, stupid internet. Maybe it was redacted or something, if it was a quirk like astral projection maybe they didn't want it being publicly known. Izuku turns his attention to the clock on his phone which displayed 12:13. Huh, he'd woken up earlier than the day before, that was good. Even with the quirk training he'd been doing. He gets up and stretches, he quite liked being in the bar with Tomura and Kurogiri. It felt like it was completely cut off from everything, it was a good place to hide from it all. He couldn't hide forever and he knew that, but it was nice. It was good that Garaki recommended it to him, as well as being able to talk to Kurogiri and Tomura a bit more, he'd sort of warmed up to them. He heads out of the room, hearing a TV playing.
"What a dreadful waste." said the booming voice of the phantom man. Izuku gently clunks the door open and walks in, seeing Tomura and Kurogiri sat watching it.
"Hey you two. What's going on?"
"Just another wronged soul. Come see." Tomura motions.
"Wronged soul?" Izuku asks as he walks over to be in front of the TV, seeing the news on, the headline 'Hero Candidate Dead in Entrance Exam' etched across the screen. Izuku's eyes couldn't help but show pain as the kind face of a brown haired girl appeared on the screen. Presumably the victim. "She... she died?" he gingerly asks.
"One of their arena traps killed her. That's what they're reporting." responds Kurogiri.
"Ochako Uraraka was a promising youth, her presence always brought life and light to whoever she happened to meet. Her parents have blamed the school in its entirety for the incident. In addition to this; The Yaoyorozu foundation, one of the institutions largest financial backers have reportedly severed their financial support in response to the tragedy that has taken place here this morning." declared the television.
"Heh. That'll piss 'em off." states Tomura.
"In other news, Pro Hero - Hawks, has been reinstated to active duty following his AWOL actions two months ago." says the TV before it starts to crackle where it is then replaced by the voice of authority.
"I entrust you've all seen the news?" asks Shigaraki.
"Yes sir. We were just informing Izuku of the events." responds the warp gate user.
"Well Izuku? What do you think of all this?"
Izuku stops and thinks. Another victim, another life lost. Another wronged soul.
"This... this really needs to change." says Izuku.
"I agree Young Midoriya... Doctor? How long until our project is completed?" asks the voice of authority. Garaki's familiar calculated tone filling the silence.
"A matter of days at most. Nomu has responded to all forms of treatment." he responds.
"Excellent. Tomura; I'll leave the deployment of him up to you. This is all for you after all." concludes Shigaraki as the TV crackles off. Izuku looks to Tomura; whom was scratching his neck.
"Who's Nomu?" he asks.
"The reason we'll be able to tear this failed society down to the ground." smiles Tomura.
Izuku had more questions than answers; Nomu, Superstar, Ochako? All of them had been thrown into his life in the space of minutes. Yet, all of them served as fuel that only further fuelled the fire that was starting to rage within him.
"With no more killing?" Izuku asks Tomura.
"... You really suck the fun out of everything don't you, Green."
