As Charybdis and Velgrynd approached the palace grounds, they spotted Milim , with an energetic demeanor, playing with a small dragon-like creature by her side.

Milim looked up curiously as they approached, her eyes wide with curiosity.

Velgrynd gently nudged Charybdis forward.

"Go on, introduce yourself."

Charybdis took a deep breath and stepped forward, kneeling down to Milim's level.

"Hello, Milim. My name is Charybdis. I'm your cousin."

Milim's eyes sparkled with excitement, instead of a bout of anger like Charybdis expected or some other probable reactions for being too late or something along the line.

"Cousin? Really? I didn't know I had a cousin! This is awesome!"

Charybdis smiled warmly.

"Yes, really. I'm Veldora's daughter, and I heard about you from him and wanted to come meet you."

Milim's face lit up with joy.

"Veldora's daughter? That's so cool! This is Gaia,"

She said not giving it much thought likely due to the low attention span as a kid , pointing to the small dragon-like creature beside her.

"He's my best friend."

Charybdis extended a hand to Gaia. "Hello, Gaia. It's nice to meet you."

Gaia sniffed her hand and gave a small, approving growl insted of the normal reaction of aversion all creatures give me when i expose a bit of my presence , a byproduct of my draconic ability.

Milim beamed. "He likes you!"

Charybdis chuckled softly.

"I'm glad. I wanted to come see you, Milim, to get to know you better. I heard a lot about you from Father "

Milim puffed her small chest with a smug smile as she felt proud for being famous.

Charybdis smiled, but the conversation soon began to lag, the controst between her excitement and my monotonic demeanor giving way to an awkward silence.

After a few moments, Charybdis decided to break the tension.

"Milim," she began, "have you ever explored outside the kingdom?"

Milim shook her head, her eyes widening again.

"No, I haven't! I've always wanted to, though. There's so much out there to see!"

Charybdis grinned, her eyes twinkling with a hint of mischief, thinking up ways to use this time to study her own self without the prying eyes.

"How about we go on a little trip? Just the two of us—and Gaia, of course. We can explore the lands beyond the kingdom and have some fun."

Milim's face lit up with excitement. "Really? That sounds amazing! Can we go right now?"

Before Charybdis could respond, Velgrynd stepped in, her expression stern.

"Absolutely not," she said firmly. "Milim, you know it's not safe outside the kingdom right now. There are too many dangers, and I can't allow you to leave the safety of the palace grounds."

Velgrynd was right in her own way since nowhere was safe for Milim ,who knows what the world will might do to her ? It already conspired against Veldanava.

Who's to say it won't want to harm Milim.

Milim's excitement deflated, and she pouted.

"But, Velgrynd, Charybdis can protect me! And I have Gaia, too!"

Velgrynd shook her head.

"I'm sorry, Milim. It's too risky. Charybdis, if you want to spend time with Milim, it has to be here, within the kingdom. Her safety is the top priority."

Charybdis nodded, understanding the gravity of Velgrynd's concern.

"I understand, Velgrynd. We'll stay within the kingdom. Milim, how about we play some games instead? We can make our own adventures right here."

Milim's pout quickl turned into a smile.

"Games? That sounds fun! What kind of games?"

Charybdis thought for a moment.

"We could play hide and seek, or maybe we can have a treasure hunt. I bet there are lots of hidden nooks and crannies around the palace grounds."

Milim's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Hide and seek sounds awesome! And a treasure hunt too! Let's do both!"

Charybdis laughed.

"Alright, let's start with hide and seek. You hide first, and I'll

Charybdis and Milim started their games, their laughter echoing through the palace grounds as they bonded over their shared fun.

They were eventually joined by a reluctant Velgrynd who was too embarrassed to admit that the childish games were fun for her too.

As Charybdis strolled through the tranquil gardens of Rudra Ul Nasca's palace alongside Velgrynd, memories of the joyful moments with Milim Nava filled her mind.

The laughter of her niece echoed warmly, it made her feel strangely content, mingling with strategic considerations—assessing Rudra's power and pondering alliances or other ambitions.

Beneath it all, a genuine longing stirred within Charybdis—a desire to experience the joys of motherhood herself.

The sun-drenched courtyard of Rudra Ul Nasca's palace set a serene atmosphere as Charybdis and Velgrynd approached casually, their demeanor relaxed on the outward.

Rudra, known as the strongest hero greeted them with a welcoming smile.

Charybdis greeted Rudra with a nod of respect, her expression warm and curious.

"Rudra Ul Nasca," she greeted casually, "it's nice to finally meet you."

Rudra returned her nod graciously, his eyes assessing her with interest. "Charybdis," he acknowledged warmly, "and Velgrynd, good to see you both."

Velgrynd nodded in acknowledgment, her presence lax she greeted casually as she strode into the room and took a glass of wine in her hand.

Charybdis continued, her tone relaxed as she navigated the conversation.

"I'm here without any big plans," she explained , her thoughts briefly turning to Milim.

"Just thought it'd be good to chat and see where things go."

Rudra listened with a smile, sensing the words to not be complete truth yet not far from it.

"Sounds good to me," he replied casually, his tone friendly.

"Always open to meeting new people and seeing how we can help each other out."

Charybdis nodded, her skill politicianrunning in overdrive. "Maybe our realms can find ways to support each other,"

She suggested casually, her voice tinged with genuine interest. "For the benefit of our common interests."

Rudra regarded her with a thoughtful gaze, sensing Charybdis's relaxed approach to things quite like how Veldanava did , the difference here is that Veldanava really held no ulterior interests.

"Definitely worth exploring," he agreed casually, his tone open. He was about to

Continue with more seriousness about the rampage of previous months.

When he was interrupted by a groaning Velgrynd.

"Ugh, talk about politics and whatnot when I'm not there, Let's grab a drink and chat, i want to know more about my new neice"

""Sure"" they both chuckled and agreed.
