The sky over the kingdom of Luminaria darkened as Veldora and Charybdis approached, their massive dragon forms casting long shadows over the land.
Lightning crackled around Veldora, his storm manipulation stirring the atmosphere into a chaotic frenzy.
Charybdis followed close behind, her icy aura creating a chilling contrast to Veldora's tempestuous energy.
"Ready for some father-daughter bonding?" Veldora roared, his voice booming through the clouds.
Charybdis nodded a small smile on her face .
With a synchronized roar, they descended upon the kingdom.
Veldora unleashed a torrent of lightning and wind, tearing through buildings and scattering the inhabitants in terror.
Charybdis summoned a blizzard, freezing everything in her path and creating a landscape of ice and snow.
Some who were far away thought themselves safe and tried to run but the Light ray and scale attack were enough to exterminate the majority of them.
The Luminarians tried to mount a defense, but their efforts were futile against the overwhelming power of the two dragons.
Soldiers and magicians fell before their might, their attacks deflected by his scales and dissipated by his storms.
Charybdis's icy breath froze entire battalions, her claws shattering them like glass.
Amid the chaos, Charybdis's keen eyes spotted a strange boy covered in blood standing in the midst of the destruction.
Unlike the others, he did not run or cower in fear.
Instead, he stood calmly, watching the devastation with an inscrutable expression.
While she could've just ignored it as him stuck in some sort of mental state too shocked to attack.
However his aura indicated otherwise.
Intrigued, Charybdis swooped down, her massive form transforming into the one of the harpy queen, landing with a thud on the ground.
The boy looked up at her, his eyes unflinching even as he faced imminent death.
"You don't seem afraid," Charybdis observed, her voice a low rumble.
The boy shrugged, a faint smile on his lips. "Fear is pointless. What will happen, will happen."
Charybdis's interest was piqued.
There was something unusual about this boy, his demeanor it was too familiar with her own.
Deciding he would be a perfect specimen worth further study, she reached out with her clawed hand and gently picked him up, careful not to harm him.
"You're coming with me," she declared, her tone leaving no room for argument.
Covering ribbons of curses around him forming a protective cocoon.
As she lifted off into the sky, Veldora noticed her new companion.
"What's this? A souvenir?" he teased, his laughter booming.
Charybdis rolled her eyes, though there was a hint of amusement in her gaze. "Let's call it... research."
Together, they soared over the ruined kingdom, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
Charybdis held the boy securely, curious about his fearless demeanor and what secrets he might hold.
Back in their lair, Charybdis placed the boy in a secure chamber, her mind racing with questions.
"What is your name?" she asked.The boy met her gaze calmly. "My name is Kai."
"Well, Kai," Charybdis said, her eyes narrowing thoughtfully, "you are now my personal... research specimen. Let's see what makes you so special."
As she studied Kai, it became clear that his uniqueness went beyond his fearless demeanor.
His indifference to death was quite similar to what she had in her childhood, although she later did gain attachments no matter how small.
More intriguingly, he had an almost sinless disposition, untainted by the fear and corruption that plagued others.
Almost as if he was "blessed" with such a peculiarity.
After meeting Veldora Charybdis had abondoned her previous plans and chose a more rational, albeit longer, path.
While her method of infecting thousands and hoping for one or two to survive worked it wasn't really an effective method to build armies.
While she didn't really need countless soldiers, she did need enough to laze around and delegate all her work to them.
So she had chosen to instead research on ways to more effectively spread her corruption.
The biy had just piqued her interest and so luckily he got the fortune of being the first human to volunteer for this esteemed task.
Smiling a twisted smile she went back to Veldora who was already getting restless.

As Charybdis and Veldora flew side by side through the skies, heading towards Veldora's next target of ire , a question lingered in Charybdis's mind.
She turned to her father, her curiosity piqued.
"Father," she began, her voice clear despite the rush of wind around them, "do you have a human form as well?"
Veldora let out a booming laugh, his voice filled with mirth.
"No, daughter, I don't. I've never seen the need for one. My draconic form is more than enough to instill fear and command respect."
Charybdis smiled, finding her father's straightforwardness both amusing and endearing.
"I see. I have taken a human form myself. It helps me blend in and interact with others more easily."
"Haaha , you're right my sisters sqid the same thing , Though I must say, I prefer our true forms. There's something liberating about being in our natural state, wouldn't you agree?"
Charybdis nodded. "I do agree, Father. But there are times when subtlety and adaptability are necessary."
Veldora chuckled. "True enough. Speaking of adaptability, tell me about this boy you took as your minion. What makes him so special?"
Charybdis's eyes sparkled with intrigue. "He's an enigma. His fearless demeanor and indifference to death are fascinating, but what truly sets him apart is his almost sinless disposition. It's as if he lacks the darkness that taints most beings."
Veldora raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A sinless human, you say? That is indeed unusual hell I'deven question if he really is a human"
Charybdis nodded. "That's what I intend to find out. He's my personal 'boy toy,' as I've come to call him, and I'll be studying him closely."
Veldora laughed heartily. "You have quite the curiosity, daughter. It seems we both have our own unique ways of entertaining ourselves."
