"A great marriage is not when the 'perfect couple' comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences." — Dave Meurer

----------------

"Oh, it's such a nice surprise to see you in the middle of the week, Hassan. I thought that you could only come during the weekends?" Dad asks, after hugging the living out of me and Fatima.

"Is father here, I need to talk to you about something urgent and important." He suddenly looks worried.

"Did something bad happen? Your father is raining in the garden with your siblings. " We then walked to the garden.

"Don't look at me like that dad, I'm not supposed to tell you, professional secret. It smells good! " She runs towards the kitchen, and dad looks at me with wide eyes.

"Oh, Hassan weren't you supposed to come tomorrow?"  My father and my baby brother, Anwar, are fencing in the garden, but I can see that Anwar is still struggling. My father always went hard on every one of his children to make sure that we would be able to either defend ourselves or become the greatest knights just like him.

"We need to discuss something important." My dad gives him a towel to clean himself, he tells Anwar to go clean himself up inside.

"We should go to the living room then."

----------------

"What is it son ?" asks dad.

"I am getting married." They both seem shocked, but in a good way.

"Well, quite the news. You are going to settle down." Dad cheers, father grabs his hand, smiling.

"Who is it? I bet it's the young woman we met in Ezalia, you remember how smitten he was by her, just as I was by you." My father says smiling and kisses my dad tenderly. They were still lovey-dovey like their first year of marriage after almost 30 years of marriage and seven children.

"Oh, guys come on. It's not her, it's Alexander." Father turns his gaze away from his husband, to look at me confused.

"Our Alexander, the stable boy or..." Dad questions me.

"Or the son of the late emperor, the crown prince Alexander." I say in a whisper.

"How?"

"The situation with the council must have worsened with time, because he told me that he needed the throne by getting pregnant and without murdering anyone." I respond, and my parents are not so happy about it. My dad stands up and sits next to me.

"You know Hassan, your father and I want the best for you and yes, the two of you have always been quite close but are you sure he is right for you? What about your fated mate, love? When you were young you always told me about how much you wanted to love someone just like you, your father loves me, are you really sure about yourself? " My dad puts his hand on mine, I just smile at him.

" Don't worry dad, I know what to expect, and I know Alexander.  It might seem as if he just wants to use me, and well yes he does,, I wouldn't have agreed to it if I didn't want to.  My feelings for Alexander might not be the same and our relationship won't be the same as yours with father but I want to help a friend dear to me. "My father sighs, and gets up to sit next to me as well.

"If this is what you want, then I support you. " He smiles.

" I do too, son. "

" Lorel, we need to find a quiet place for the ceremony and make sure that my schedule is clear and hot for at least two days." I tell him and he nods.

"Well next week would be perfect for you, your highness. We just need to move some meetings for next week and close three arrangements. Is it okay?"  I agree and he starts to write down letters that I will need to approve later.

"Could you send invitation to the count and the duchess, ask for discretion."

"I think I found the perfect location, in the small village of Veinetich."

"Alright, perfect."

----------------

The trip to the village took 8 hours in total. Once we arrived at the inn, we got ready and went directly to the church.

The family of sir Hassan was present along with two friends of mine and his as witness.

Lorel was brushing my long red hair, to put them in a tight bun.

"I've finished your hair, your highness. You are ready to go." He says before leaving the room.

I stare at my face in the mirror. I look strange, not like me but unexpectedly beautiful. And I hated that.

----------------

The officiant was waiting down the aisle with sir Hassan, then everyone turned to look at me when the music started.

As I started walking, my gaze goes on the man I am supposed to marry.

He looks really handsome, with his hair braided and his beautiful wedding gowns. He smiles at me and I can't ignore the fact that my heart jumps in my chest.

I finally arrived at my destination, and I took place across the officiant.

"O God, who in creating the human race willed that man and man should be one, join, we pray, in a bond of inseparable love your servants who are to be united in the covenant of Marriage, so that, as you make their love fruitful, they may become, by your grace, witnesses to charity itself." Says the pastor, when I look at sir Hassan he smiles again. I stop listening to what the officiant says, and just stares at the man who is to be my husband.

" Welcome, loved ones. We are gathered here today to join his highness, Alexander Hemsworth future emperor of our nation and Sir Hassan Morlon in holy matrimony." Then we turn to face each other.

The priest then blesses, joins our hands together, and asks:

"Do you take Alexander Hemsworth as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

"I do. '' Responds Sir Hassan as he pushes the ring on my finger.

" Do you take Hassan Morlon your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

"Yes... I do. " And repeat the same action sir Hassan had done to me

"Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace" States the officiant.
