Jade was rooted in the spot wide-eyed as Levi's lips skimmed over hers. She was trying to register it in her brain that Levi was kissing her; and before she could wrap her head around it, he pulled away. Levi stared into her eyes, searching for anything; he probably just wanted to know if she remembered how it felt to kiss him,
The crowd gave applause, bringing them back to reality, and Jade quickly stepped away from the mistletoe. By the time it was twelve, Nate made a toast to Christmas and gifts started flying around. Skylar sat under the Christmas trees digging through the boxes to find her present.
The party eventually ended, and everyone returned to their various homes; it was a shame that Jade did not see Theo before he left. But then again even if she did see when he was leaving, she wasn't going to force him to stay or anything that would be a futile mission.
