"He lives," Jade said, standing up to meet him.
Levi raised an eyebrow, something about her demeanor tonight looked edgy. He couldn't tell if they were at the stage where they could ask about personal stuff but he wanted to know, so he asked anyway.
"You good?"
She narrowed her eyes at him just a little bit and then she nodded. They stood in awkward silence for a while, "What are you doing here, surely you did not come from your cozy penthouse to watch me smoke out in the cold." Jade asked. She hated the way he just randomly appeared out of nowhere, throwing her off balance.
"I thought I'd stop by and see how you're doing, uhh… my bad if you don't like me coming to your place." He replied.
"It's not that, I just…I uhh… I'm sorry I acted out that day and I wanted to tell you that. I'll try to fit in your world." Jade said.
