It was truly awesome to see Dr. Nate's house and his wonderful kid Skylar. They had talked about her some days during her regular check-up which she had skipped a whole lot and most of it wasn't intentional. The house was furnished simply but still classy and there was a library at the far end of the living room with a sofa and a fireplace.
She could imagine herself curling up on the sofa next to the fireplace with a good book and hot chocolate on a cold day. It would be bliss in every sense of the word but she was brought back to reality by the sound of Skylar calling her name.
"Yes, sorry I spaced out." Jade replied quickly.
"Do you do that a lot?" Skylar asked.
Jade hesitated before she answered, "Yeah, it's a habit."
