Scott stood outside Chloe's apartment, his heart was filled with regret. He had to make things right. The memory of Chloe's hurt expression and her words 'You don't even trust your own kid. Why should I be any different?!'. Those words haunted him, fueled his determination to apologize and prove his trust in her innocence and more importantly, he'd been a complete idiot.
He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. The silence that followed felt like an eternity. Finally, the door creaked open, and Chloe stood before him, her eyes were guarded.
"What the hell do you want, Scott?" she asked curtly as she folded her arms and glared at him.
"I wanna talk to you," he said, his voice low and sincere.
"Go to hell," She hissed.
"Can you let me in?"
"No!" Chloe growled at him.
He paused for a moment. "I—"
Chloe raised an eyebrow. "Save it. You made your thoughts very clear yesterday."
