Lana's eyes widened in disbelief as she glared at her twin. "You and Bobby hung out with Chloe and you couldn't even be bothered to tell me." She tossed a pillow at Lisa who batted it off with annoyance. "I literally can't believe you two could be so idiotic."
Lisa returned the glare. "What's the big deal? You don't even care about Chloe." She flopped down on her bed. "Besides, we weren't doing anything wrong."
Lana's face reddened with anger, her cheeks flushed. "That's not the point! You involved Bobby in this mess, and now y'all are in trouble with Dad and Stephanie." She crossed her arms over her chest. "You know how they feel about Chloe."
Bobby, who had been quietly observing the exchange from the corner of the room, spoke up.
Bobby's hands moved in a rhythmic motion, the baseball flying back and forth between his hand and glove. The soft thud of the ball hitting the leather was a comforting sound.
