Ara started at Kael with a befuddled expression for a few seconds then he burst out into loud uncontrollable laughter, his voice ringing around the arena.
It felt like a joke to him. He had pondered and wondered what Kael's plan was but seeing him there on his disability chair made him want to double over and laugh some more.
Kael looked even more pitiful and it would be impossible to gain back the people's respect after this, Ara wondered what kind of image they made, he standing upright while the cripple sat helplessly.
"You have chosen to fight me your highness?" He asked sarcastically and Kael raised an eyebrow. "Don't you think that we should just call off the challenge? At least let your subjects remember you without pity."
"Why should we?" Kael asked scornfully then tilted his head as he examined his cousin. "Or at you afraid that you will lose to me?"
His comment completely wiped the amused smirk off Ara's face and he growled.
