"How odd." Arlo said as he bent at the waist and studied the unconscious warrior stretched out on the bed.
They had come to the infirmary and Kael discovered that two more warriors had fallen unconscious since the last time he had come and the others seemed to be getting sicker. There had been more new infections and this time they were not warriors, he feared it spreading all over the kingdom.
He did not want to deal with a pestilence, that could cause his citizens trust in him to be weakened. Fortunately, Arlo was here, Kael prayed that he would have a solution.
"Your highness, I have warned against you coming in here." A stricken Aldous came running out of his work room when he was informed that the king had come.
He stopped when he saw Kael and he stared awkwardly before he remembered to bow his head low. He could barely believe what he was seeing
"Praise the gods, you are on your feet my Lord." His eyes shone with unshed tears.
