The celebration continued for a while before Akira announced that the townspeople should return to their work, promising they could continue celebrating during the evening feast. Jarvis made arrangements with the tavern owner to ensure there was plenty of beer for everyone, but he found the tavern lacked sufficient food and the quality was poor. Jarvis turned to Akira and said, "Master Akira, this tavern doesn't have enough food for everyone, and I don't think the shops can fulfill such a large order. Could you ask Gammagob to hunt a beast and bring it to the tavern so they can cook it?"
Akira replied, "Yes, sure." He teleported Gammagob and relayed Jarvis's request. Gammagob left the place with a bow and went straight to the forest to hunt some good meat.
Akira then approached Archie, who was in high spirits. "You can celebrate as much as you want today. Starting tomorrow, your duties begin," Akira told him. Archie, in a drunken state, replied, "Yes, my lord, I got it."
While leaving the tavern Akira said to Jarvis, "I'm going to take care of an important matter so until I arrive you are responsible for the security of this town". Jarvia replied,"Yes my lord, don't worry I will make sure things here go smoothly" and then Akira teleported to the area he had chosen for the new base. After inspecting it, he confirmed it was the perfect location. Kneeling down, he placed his hands on the ground and used earth magic to create a large hole wider than the base's dimensions. He noticed a stream flowing from the mountain and redirected it to the back of the plot with a bit of earth magic.
Akira then teleported to the base's backyard. Betagob noticed his arrival and came to greet him. "Betagob, use the teleportation circle and inform everyone to come to the base, leaving everything else behind," Akira instructed. Betagob stood on the magic circle and was teleported to the cave. Akira quickly recharged the circle, and within a few minutes, all the hobgoblins and Deltagob arrived with Betagob.
Lesley, hearing the commotion, hurried to the backyard and saw Akira. Walking quickly towards him, Akira addressed everyone, "No one should disturb me for a while, and please don't make much noise." Akira then bent down, placed his hands on the ground, and with Alfred's help, used earth magic to separate the base, including 30 feet of ground beneath it, from the rest of the ground. Nearly draining his mana pool, Akira teleported himself and the entire base to the new location.
The effort nearly caused Akira to blackout, but Betagob caught him before he could fall. Betagob carried Akira to his room. Though Akira had much to do, he couldn't move. Alfred, in Akira's mind, said, "Master, you are in a safe location. I am diverting all focus to gather mana from the environment." Akira pulled out a mana crystal from his inventory, placed it in his hand, and fell asleep.
With the base at a new location and both Alphagob and Jarvis absent, the security of the base became the primary concern. Gammagob and Betagob decided that Betagob would be in charge, as he is responsible for the security of the base. All the hobgoblins and the two ogres remained on strict guard duty until Akira regained consciousness.
In the city, Oliver and Leonard were getting anxious due to the lack of reports from Fate about the army. Leonard paced back and forth, venting his frustration at Fate's perceived irresponsibility and doubting his ability to defeat an entire army alone. Leonard slammed his hands on the table and said to Oliver, "Oliver, go to Fate's base and get an update on what he is doing. We must be prepared in case he is defeated or killed."
Oliver replied calmly, "Lord, please calm down. I will go to Fate's base tomorrow. It's getting late, and he might see it as disrespectful if we go now."
Leonard agreed, "Okay, you will leave for Fate's base as soon as the sun comes up."
"Yes, my lord," Oliver responded and left the meeting room. As he walked towards his chamber, he ordered a servant to ensure a carriage was ready in the morning. Sitting in his room, Oliver pondered the worst-case scenarios. The thought of Fate being defeated by the army troubled him because he knew he could win against such an army, but he feared Fate might join the other side or flee the battlefield. Such an event would mean the army would march towards Concordia, though scouts would inform them beforehand.
Unable to shake his worries, Oliver left his room and asked the guard if they had received any information from the scouts. The guard replied, "No, my lord, there is no special info. But there was a report of loud noises and flashes seen and heard from where the army was expected to be. It was brief, and then everything went silent."
Oliver returned to his room, trying to piece together the cause of the flashes and noises, but eventually fell asleep.
In the town, the feast was in full swing. The cleanup was finished and Alphagob, the goblins and Archie's friends came back to the town. Gammagob, Alphagob, and the goblins were on guard duty while everyone else drank, ate, and danced around a large fire. Jarvis was present to prevent any drunken fights. He muttered to himself, wondering where Akira was, thinking Akira would miss seeing Archie's drunken antics.
Suddenly, the wyvern flew into the center of town, causing the townspeople to retreat to the other side of the square. The wyvern casually walked to the food stall, grabbed a large chunk of meat, and went to Jarvis, a familiar face, to eat. Seeing this, the townspeople relaxed but kept their distance, occasionally daring each other to approach the wyvern for fun.
Jarvis remained uneasy about Akira's absence and considered finding him. His gaze landed on the wyvern, and he thought of flying it to locate Akira.
